One can never say that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson)have ever been best friends, but they now have a common enemy, as well as one man they all care for. Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is that enemy and Jack Abbott is the man they don’t want to see hurt. They know Diane is never what she seems and they can’t see why Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is falling for her charms once again.

When Ashley learns that Phyllis is not going to work for Marchetti just to bring Diane down, she feels left out of this decision, but can’t seem to come up with a plan of her own so Phyllis gets to keep her job.

There may be damage indeed, but Diane still doesn’t know what’s coming. She lived many years under the radar while everyone believed she was dead. She had to be doing something during that time and it likely wasn’t sweet and innocent. Diane has never seemed to be able to keep herself out of trouble even when she had the best intentions because it’s just her personality.

And it turns out Nikki’s resources have been able to dig up some of what Diane had been doing and it’s shocking. But is it enough to wake up Jack? That’s what these three ladies have to decide before Phyllis goes any further with her own plans to use her daughter’s new company to screw with Diane.
