The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that at the Grand Phoenix, Billy is approached by Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), who shamelessly tries to network with him. After she leaves, Billy and Lilly discuss relationships and can’t help but feel a deep connection between them. While they’ve known each other for a very long time, they’ve certainly never felt the kind of spark they are feeling right now.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, The Young and the Restless Head Executive Producer Josh Griffith put it this way, “They jumped into a professional relationship headfirst and have spent a great deal of time together, managing the challenges and fighting off their adversaries. As partners and friends, they trust each other implicitly. They also share an intimate history, so they are more than aware of their chemistry.”
