The Young and The Restless Updates – Soaps On A Break

Soaps are on a break from production at the moment and as a result, CBS daytime dramas have run out of new episodes to air. In light of this, they are airing some flashback episodes to fill the gap. Y&R Spoilers – Billy Miller

Miller who spent a number of years on the show and earned the Daytime Emmy award for his outstanding portrayal of the role shared a tweet via Sparer. The tweet was a video of Miller sporting a new look and talking about his time working with the legendary actress.

In the video, he stated, “Hello from quarantine, I hope everybody is safe and healthy and finding a way to navigate during this trying time as best as humanly possible. As you can tell, I have these standard-issue quarantine beard and this crazy mop going on. It is what it is. It’s a new look. I hear that we are celebrating the great Jeanne Cooper, one of my most favorite people to have ever walked the face of the earth. I love this woman.

I miss her dearly. I’ll show you; I keep this picture of us in my office. It was in my dressing room before. She took a real interest in me and my career from the very beginning at Y&R. She would check on me all the time, call me at home out of the blue, and made sure that I was finding my way through this crazy business in the best possible way. She was the matriarch at YT&R. She truly loved all the fans, everyone she worked with. I miss her. I love her. I say we continue to celebrate her and I’m glad that you guys are. Again, stay safe and keep watching.”

Billy Miller also played the role of Richie Novak on All My Children. He also played Jason Morgan and Drew Cain on General Hospital. He opted to leave the show and further pursue other gigs with his most recent being as Alex Dunn on Truth is Told.

Billy Miller also played the role of Billy Abbott on the CBS soap The Young and The Restless.  Is this shout out to the great Jeanne Cooper an indication that Billy might be considering a return to Y&R?

I’d rather have him back on GH. His character isn’t dead. And while a recast is entirely possible the bigwigs at GH found out that Billy has an army of fans that is STILL very angry Drew is gone!
Jason Thompson has done a great job of making Billy Abbott his own, in my opinion.
I’d hate for him to be put out of a job because Billy wanted his place back.

Would love to see Billy back on either soap as long as he’s back…I do however think he’ll get a better shake and a better role at Y&R than GH. I mean, after all, they had him once and treated him like roadkill after Burton can back. On a side note…I love the rugged, lumberjack quarantine look!!
