The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Can Claire Be Trusted Around Harrison Now That She’s A Murderer?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that the chickens will come home to roost for Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) now that she’s gone through with her sinister plan to murder her aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk).

Claire really turned a corner when she suggested that Jordan should be killed. Yes, Jordan terrorized the Newman family but Claire’s form of vigilante justice rarely goes unpunished. Given her blood thirst, some fans are questioning whether or not Claire is a fit role model for young Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell).

Claire argued to her grandmother Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and her mother Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) that they would never be safe as long as Jordan was alive.

She sort of has a point, as Jordan managed to sneak out of prison in order to get her revenge. Is there any facility that could hold Jordan, let alone rehabilitate her?

Y&R spoilers – Cold Blooded Murder

However, even if Claire had a valid point, resorting to cold-blooded murder is quite a reckles decision. Jordan raised Claire to hate the Newmans, and she did. She plotted with Jordan and assisted her in paying back the clan.

But then she discovered that they loved her and that Jordan kidnapped her as a baby. Claire did a 180, turning on Jordan and embracing her new family. That was all heartwarming, but it’s chilling how easily Claire went back into villain mode.

Victoria and Nikki tried to argue with Claire, but she was dead set (pun intended) on getting revenge on Jordan. So she methodically planned to lure her to the tack house and give her poisoned tea.

At one point Claire backed off and told Jordan not to drink the tea but that was because she wanted to gain information about missing Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).

In the end, Claire watched Jordan drink the tea and didn’t lift a finger to call an ambulance or the police. No one else did either, but that’s not the point—Claire hatched this evil plan and saw it through.

Even worse, Claire clutched Jordan’s hand as she lay dying. Ew. Given what Claire has done, is she really fit to be around her beau Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) son, Harrison?
