The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Paul Williams Told Him An Investigation Would Have To Be Done

When Chance interviewed Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) for a job with the Genoa City Police Department last week, Paul said if it were up to him, he’d hire him. But first, a thorough investigation into what happened in Las Vegas would have to be done. If it came out okay, then he could hire him.

He had admitted that he was the “federal agent” in the exposé of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) published by Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). He did not want to be untruthful in his interview. Paul did commend Chance for his honesty, and introduced him to Rey Rosales, (Jordi Vilasuso), since if Chance does pass the deep dig investigations he’d already be acquainted with a potential partner. The two men got along very well, and Rey said he could use a partner.

Their conversation turned from police work to family, and Rey talked about wanting to spend the rest of his life with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). Chance said when one finds the right woman, he should hold on- obviously thinking about Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). However, Paul had warned Chance that his hiring wasn’t a done deal by any means, since he has to go by what the investigation into what happened in Las Vegas turns up.

Y&R Spoilers – Chance Cannot Help But Be Worried

There’s a saying that what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. However, this saying does not apply to what happened in Vegas where Chance is concerned. Waiting for word from Paul about the results of the inquiry, he cannot help but worry if things will go south. He and Adam had made a body disappear and covered up the killing after Adam had killed a man defending Chance.

If Adam hadn’t acted, Chance would have been the dead man. Perhaps they should have gone about things differently – because while Adam may have had a manslaughter charge, it certainly wouldn’t be a murder charge. He killed the man while defending Chance; technically it would have been similar to self-defense.

But Chance didn’t want to get Adam in trouble for saving his life, so they covered it up and disposed of the body! It sounds like the results of the investigation into what happened in Las Vegas will turn up something that will disqualify Chance from being hired. Given he has written himself into a corner with a non-competition clause in the security company he had owned and sold, and he wants to stay in Genoa City-what will he do now? He’s not the type of guy to live off his wife, which he will want Abby to be!
