The gap between Chance’s return to Genoa City, Wisconsin, and his lack of meeting with a psychiatrist does not make sense. The purpose projects at furthering instability between one of Y&R’s most likable couples.

Is it realistic for a newly married couple to face as many bizarre scenarios as Abby and Chance did within the last year? The right answer is no.

The fans were asked to accept Chance’s choice to leave his new wife and accept the Agency’s assignment. The audience endured all the drama that was happening in GC while Chance was gone and learned that his team was killed. Now Dominic Newman Abbott Winters Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) has health issues?

Along with everything, Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) blood tie is teased to be erased, while Chance struggling to keep his head above while all of the above happened is just too much to take?

All that Abby has gone through in recent years, some of which was due to her immature choices, was followed by the development of this mature relationship. So, it was wonderful to see Ordway’s character meet and marry Chance.

The recast led to a lengthy period of uncertainty, with the tension feeling intentionally inserted to bridge the gap until Floyd arrived. A sharp ending is needed, regardless of whether that became the plan or not.

There is still time for Abby to take the lead, as she has been doing since Chance left for Spain. She, more than anyone, must ensure that Chance gets the help he needs. If he does not, this couple and their growing family could be doomed.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Time To Work At Newman-Locke

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) should offer Chance a job at Newman-Locke. A security position, like the one Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) had in days gone by, would be ideal.

Yes, working for Victor could be more stressful than being a police detective. However, the change of pace could benefit Chance’s outlook.

Plus, Abby deserves to have peace of mind. So, having Chance handle local corporate matters, with no dangerous assignments, could be the type of solution that takes Chance off this never-ending emotional trail he has traveled for far too long.
