Meanwhile, Devon is taking care of Dominic. The two have always shared a special connection. However, with Devon being the caregiver while Abby is gone, that connection is growing stronger. It’s going to be difficult for Devon to hand the baby back to Abby when she finally comes back.

With that being said, Devon is a decent man who tries to do the right thing most of the time. Devon knows that the baby belongs to Chance and Abby. That deep bond he feels could have Devon making some unexpected decisions, though.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Ordway told Soap Opera Digest that things will get worse before they get better. Abby found Chance pretty quickly, so that indicates a big bombshell or obstacle is going to hit the couple. With Chance escaping the explosion and with his life still in danger, what could be next?

There is reason to believe that Chance might try to bond with Dominic, but might not be able to. This will be heartbreaking for Abby and frustrating for Chance. Plus, there is a possibility that Chance could have PTSD on top of it all. Many people with post-traumatic stress disorder react in unpredictable ways to their trauma and triggers. Sometimes there will be a self-defense type of reaction or even getting violent to a perceived – but not real – threat. Then, there are the flashbacks and night terrors.

Y&R Spoilers – Custody Battle Ahead?

Devon could try to get custody of Dominic but it wouldn’t be for selfish reasons. Devon would only go this far if he felt it was necessary for the safety and well-being of the child. So, Chance’s inability to bond and PTSD could lead to some heartbreaking and frightening scenes. In the end, will Chance and Abby lose the baby they tried so desperately to have?
