The Young and the Restless spoilers show that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) backed off of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and did not question the family anymore because of his wife, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). This goes completely against Chance and his character and I think this is just the beginning of a big change. This will not last and something is going to burst out of Chance.
Chance knew there was something more going on in the death of Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) and wanted to get to the bottom of it even if it meant that his family would be in trouble. Of course, he did not know about the Newman family crest which reads, “Snitches get stitches.”

Going against everything he stands for, Chance chose to back off from the case and we can tell that it is eating him alive. Abby knows that there is something wrong and even after thanking him for not pursuing the case, Chance has been very cold.
Abby knows better as well… She would never ask him to back off of another case simply because of who was involved. Imagine when Abby and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) had their hotel bout, and Phyllis was involved in something that had Chance investigating. Abby would never tell him not to investigate her crime.
It’s getting to a point where it is a bit gross what the Newman family can and can’t do.

Y&R Spoilers -A Rocky Marriage
All of this pressure will ultimately lead to a failed marriage. Let’s be honest though, did we ever really see Chance and Abby going all the way on The Young and the Restless? There have been numerous issues with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), their pregnancy story, and more and it always felt like they were on thin ice anyway.
Having Chance drop the investigation because he’s married into the wrong family is going to take a toll on him and will eventually cause them to grow apart even further. Chance and Abby as we know it is probably one conversation away from being over. It’s a ridiculous storyline and even more ridiculous is how they are treating Chance like it’s no big deal for him to lie and pretend that there was no cover-up.

Please don’t return to Abby sniveling again. We realize this actress isn’t the most gifted acting talent but the show should at least try to stretch her with something more challenging other than the concerned mother, attention seeking wife or ugly snotting when things don’t go her way. I used to like Abby but since the baby Dom story she’s become uninteresting and tedious, a character to ff through rather than watch.
I think Chance is an imbecile to let Victor control him. He needs to do his job. If Abby can’t deal with it then move on. She and Devon can look after the the kid. I find Chance a very blah character. He’s not hard to look at but that’s about all he has. Yes Abby is boring also. She was better as the naked heiress .
