While Chance is struggling, he will spend more time at work on other cases. Abby probably hoped that once the Ashland case was closed, Chance would spend more time at home. Abby made a special mention of how many family dinners Chance has missed. Abby also was frustrated that Chance was missing Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor’s (Rainn and River Ware) milestones.

Chance might feel that he can’t be completely honest about his feelings with Abby. After all, she is a Newman. Recently, Chance and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) shared scenes.
