The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) have a good thing going. She is back in town after getting her son settled in boarding school and the couple are reveling in their relationship.

Billy and Chelsea kept in touch while she was off with young Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) and now the world is their oyster. But, soap couples rarely stay happy for very long–are those storm clouds we see brewing on the horizon for these two?

Billy’s lack of restraint is legendary, so fans can’t help but speculate about how he might mess this good thing up.

Perhaps he gets impulsive and asks Chelsea to marry him? Normally that would be a good thing, but in this case both of these two bold and beautiful people have a lot of irons in the fire.

Billy’s professional life is rife with strife. He is battling snarky Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) plus getting pressure from his businesswoman mom Jill Abbott (Jess Walton).

At the same time he will be blown away when he gets wind of what his ex and baby mamma Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) has been through. She and her family were held captive and drugged—by her own daughter!

Long story short, loony Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) and her Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) set out to make the Newmans pay for abandoning the former as a baby.

That simply did not happen; 20 years ago Victoria and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) believed their child died. But it’s all but certain that a DNA test proves that Claire is baby Eve, a Newman no less.

Victoria will go into mama bear mode and protect Claire but how will Billy feel about their kids Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) being around Claire?

Billy may not want this troubled woman anywhere near his kids, and who can blame him?

Maybe Billy reaches out to Chelsea wanting stability in his chaotic life? It could be that he thinks putting a ring on Chelsea’s finger is a way to normalize his life, but is she ready for marriage now that her career and family life are going gangbusters?

If Chelsea rejects Billy we can easily see him running down the rabbit hole (again).
