The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chelsea Lawson Is Trapped In Her Own Body

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will remember that Chelsea suffered a stroke when the aneurysm in her brain burst the day Sharon married Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). Adam was busy eavesdropping on the wedding and probably would have crashed it had Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) not spotted him and stopped him from doing so. After Chelsea came home, and was receiving treatment in Adam’s penthouse after Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) helped get her released and constant home care set up, she has been trapped in her own body and cannot communicate.

Sharon dropped by one day to check up on Adam, (Mark Grossman) and as the nurse rolled Chelsea into the room visions of Adam and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) having an affair right in front of her kept running through her mind! Of course that is Chelsea’s worst fear, and she could not even communicate to let Adam know it was NOT all right for Sharon (Sharon Case) to be there; she kept ordering her out of her house in her mind, as Adam tried to assure her Sharon was worried about her too and there for her as well as him.

Chelsea didn’t believe a word of it as she kept protesting and making demands and orders in her mind only. Finally, she managed to get out a loud, angry moan which Adam was happy for. It meant progress! But for Chelsea, it was anger!

Y&R Spoilers – Adam Newman And Sharon Rosales Will Continue To Communicate And Retain Their Bond

Sharon and Adam can never get away, and indeed, refuse to get away from the bond they have shared for many years. Even now, that Sharon has married Rey, she is going behind Rey’s back many times to check up on and spend time with Adam!

She had promised Rey to break that bond and to quit running to Adam every time he stubbed a toe but she is a serial codependent, ever trying to fix him! Fixing Adam is like an addiction to Sharon as much as Adam’s emotional dependence on Sharon is like an addiction to him! Chelsea keeps seeing it and cannot stop it, it upsets her, and Adam cannot see that it upsets her.

Sharon cannot even see how upset Chelsea is! If she could, Chelsea would rat out Sharon to her new husband but she’s trapped inside her own body until and if she regains speech and movement. She cannot even roll her own wheelchair, or she would probably try to run the two of them over! Ideally, Chelsea should probably have a motorized wheelchair with the controls on the side of the chair that correspond to her unparalyzed side; then at least she could have a semblance of control.

She literally has to learn to talk, walk, dress and eat from scratch, and that is if her body even begins to respond from the impulses from her brain! Until then, all she can do is become more and more angry until she is able to fight back!
