Y&R spoilers reveal that Rey was off the canvas when Chelsea had to take care of her mother. Rey was assigned to escort Chelsea to her mother’s home after an injury sidelined the woman. Rey was an interesting choice as Chelsea nearly killed him during the poisoned toiletries storyline.
When Chelsea came back to Genoa City, her closeness with Rey was obvious. Each time Rey looked at Chelsea, he seemed smitten. Even though fans never saw anything happen between the two, the dynamic seemed a bit too close to be just a platonic friendship.

Despite their rocky history, Adam just might help Chelsea by claiming to be the baby’s father. This will certainly put Sally in a complicated situation. Will Adam tell Sally the truth and swear her to secrecy? Or could Sally be pulled into this scheme?

Secrets never stay hidden in soaps forever. Everyone is believing that Rey was the perfect guy. Nobody is perfect, though. In fact, there might be a reason why Chelsea is taking Rey’s death so hard.
Plus, one way for Sharon to quickly move on from Rey is to learn about a shocking betrayal. Sharon would be furious with Chelsea, but it would also turn her grief into anger. It just might make it acceptable for Sharon to jump into Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) bed sooner rather than later.

Chelsea being pregnant is a terrible idea…. Had Ray stayed on the show, it would have been an interesting storyline, but since he is now dead let that be that. Bring Chelsea a new man or do something with her and Nick if need be but don’t make her pregnant!!! It’s just a ridiculous idea

There are a lot of good people on Y&R. Rey was not unique.
The writer's time to reveal Chelsea as being pregnant was when she returned from Anita's. Rey didn't press charges against Chelsea and Chloe when they tried to kill him and blame Adam. His hate for Adam never changed for Adam when he came back from Anita's with Chelsea. He continued to think Chelsea was better off without Adam in her life. I think the dead man should rest in peace. Chelsea pregnant with Rey's baby FORGET IT. Chelsea the con had no feelings for Rey, she only wanted to make Sharon jealous. That ship has sailed, so find someone else to make Chelsea pregnant. The writer's made a mess of Abby, Devon, Mariah and Chance with Baby Dominick. If you have to have someone pregnant, make it surprise, "Sharon" or give Abby the chance to be a mother to her own child. That would be more believable than Chelsea, the woman who tried to kill Rey. Maybe Chelsea should have finished the job by running into Rey on the dark road and causing the accident that killed him. Chelsea never had a guilty attitude about what she did to Rey. And she never spent one day in lock-up for her crime.

Seems like the writers can't treat this actor and his character bad enough! Crap stories, he didn't even get a chance to have a decent exit/deathbed story, sending his body to Miami, so no decent funeral and now make him a complete hypocrite by making have had an affair, again off screen so the poor actor/character didn't even get a decent dirt bag story, despite his dedication to the show. Wow the writers can certainly make an effort for the likes of Chelsea writing all sorts of nonsensical garbage but some actors and their characters get squat! Seems not a very even-handed workplace.
