The Young and the Restless spoilers show that there’s a big party going on behind the scenes in Genoa City today as one of their own is celebrating two decades on the show. Not only are they celebrating the milestone, by they’ve completely redone the Abbott home set for the anniversary!

In a behind-the-scenes video, they take us to the Abbott home where they have completely cleared out the furniture, put up photos of Khalil’s moments over the years with a big balloon shaped as in a “20”. OF course, there are a ton of balloons and other festive things.

Christel has been playing the role of Lily Winters for 20 years, alongside one of her best friends in real life, and on-screen, Bryton James (Devon Hamilton). The two started together on ‘Family Matters’ and have been together ever since.

Over the years, Lily has had some serious up and downs, especially when she was diagnosed with cancer. After she left for a while, she returned at the behest of Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) who partnered her up with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to help run her newet company, Chancellor Communications.

Together, the two have been dynamite and rarely have had an argument. While Billy is rough around the edges, Lily has been able to be patient and help guide his aggression into a safe and productive way, like the podcast.

Y&R Spoilers – Here To Stay?

It feels like Lily may be a character that it going to stay around a while. She’s become a main character and being linked with Billy as a romantic partner has definitely given her plenty to do and keep up with.

There’s no doubt there is still a lot of stories left to tell with her and they can go in a number of directions. She’s already experienced a lot of crazy things, but this is a soap opera, and crazy is their middle name.

I hope to see her maybe even grow into a larger role on the show. She’s alright with Billy, but she’s too smart for him and has plenty that she can accomplish without a hand to hold.
