An old boyfriend from her fashion designing days in LA lost his job about the same time she did, could she and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) have hooked up?

Back in LA, Thomas and Sally used to date long before she hooked up with Wyatt Spencer, (Darin Brooks) the guy she got obsessed over she dated Thomas. Thomas and Sally were both from famous fashion families, him from Forrester Creations and her from Spectra Fashions, and they started dating. He got fired from Forrester while she revived Spectra, having been founded by her great aunt Sally Spectra l (Darlene Conley) and she hired him.

About the same time she and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) got fired from Newman Media in Genoa City, Thomas got fired from Forrester Creations again. Thomas wasn’t seen for quite a while in LA, although he recently turned up staying with a friend from Forrester, Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) who’s trying to get him rehired.

Thomas has money, he’s from a very wealthy family and had just had a very successful line he designed out in Los Angeles. Perhaps back in Genoa City, before she opted for fashion design, of which she’s starting her own company Sally may have been in touch with Thomas.

Thomas and Sally have a lot in common, both have been considered pariahs by their peers – perhaps they got together on their off time, and had a hookup. They could have discussed starting another fashion company together and competing against Forrester Creations, while Sally was noncommittal towards Nick, preferring to call their relationship a situationship. Forrester Creations also has their own fabric creating facilities and maybe Sally wants to use Forrester fabric in her new design company.

The Young and the Restless spoilers show Sally’s been struggling with her new pregnancy, and part of it has been because she slept with a pair of brothers during the same time period. But that may not be the real reason she’s struggling – maybe she slept with someone else too, and that could be Thomas! The timeline may not be right for the baby to be either Nick or Adam’s and maybe that’s what she’s trying to figure out.

She wants to be with Nick, and he knows she slept with Adam, so he knows the baby being Adam’s is a possibility. But if she slept with Thomas and the baby’s birth wouldn’t fit with either Nick or Adam, that might be the confession she makes – that her baby’s not a Newman.
