Devon could decide to push his luck and cross another line. Instead of Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) giving in, she could try to cancel the entire agreement.

Y&R spoilers reveal that Abby was not on board with changing the surrogacy agreement. Abby was prepared to fight Devon. After all, Devon and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) both signed and understood their role in the surrogacy. They were simply helping give Abby and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) a baby.

The baby would in every way, including legally, belong to “Chabby.” So, for Devon to call himself “daddy” and try to change the agreement does feel like a betrayal to Abby. However, Chance convinced Abby to agree to Devon’s request.

It is suggested that this victory might have Devon craving even more time with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware). In fact, Devon feels like he is Dominic’s father. So, Devon could want more input in how Dominic is raised and split the time equally instead of just one night a week.

Devon even requested that Dominic’s last name be changed to include Winters. What’s going to stop Devon from insisting that “Chancellor” be removed from Dominic’s name? After all, Devon claims that he’s doing this because Chance has PTSD and can’t be a real father to the child.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that it was teased that there would be no quick or easy resolution to this storyline. For Abby to give into Chance and suddenly agree with Devon’s terms is too simple. It also happened way too fast in soap opera time. So, there is more drama coming up with the custody battle.

If Devon starts demanding more, then Abby might explode. Abby could even take drastic action to keep her family from falling apart. Abby feels as if she and Chance are losing Dominic. This was specifically mentioned by one character during the week of January 17.

Not only will Abby want to keep her family intact and keep her child, but Abby could try to correct a wrong. Abby feels that it was a huge mistake to agree to Devon’s terms. It’s not sitting well in Abby’s gut, so she might try to fix that.

Even though Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) rushed to file the legal papers, there could still be time to change that. Some legal agreements have a clause that allows either party to change their minds within a specified period of time. If this legal agreement has that clause, then Abby could simply cancel the agreement. However, that would restart Devon’s plan to go to court.
