Devon believes that he needs to take care of Dominic until Abby can find a way to get the peace of mind that she needs. Devon went to Abby’s mother Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) to ask her if she thought that he should take Dominic for a short time. Devon is concerned about Dominic being with Abby who is under stress from not knowing what has happened to Chance.

According to The Young and the Restless spoilers, Ashley did not believe that Devon should take Dominic but may decide later that it is a good idea for Devon to take Dominic for a short time. Ashley would need to continue to help Abby. Devon could turn to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) for help if he takes Dominic. Nikki would want to help Devon to care for Dominic because Abby is her husband Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) daughter.
