The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Devon & Mariah Hook Up After Kidnapping – Outcome No One Saw Coming?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Dominic Winters (Ethan Ray Clark) is with Aunt Mariah, the woman who gave birth to him, having fun and traveling.

Except that Mariah has committed a crime by kidnapping him and she is clearly out of her mind. Unless Ian Ward the Sinister Minister (Ray Wise) is alive, Mariah is listening to some deadbeat advice.

But one good thing could come of the chaos and we’re here to speculate on that so join us as we look ahead to a possible unintended consequence of Dom’s kidnapping.

Mariah is Not Well

Devon and Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) are going through heck waiting to be reunited with Dom. They know Mariah took him and they have a pretty good reason why. First, she is not well, and second, she once sought to be the tot’s mom.

Mariah has always had issues, in part due to growing up in a cult. But for much of her life she has been a productive and thoughtful member of society. We are counting on her getting better and back to form, there is no reason to believe otherwise.

Devon and Abby Disagree

Once Dom is rescued, Mariah will have to be dealt with. That means punishment which is appropriate. And this is where Devon and Abby have already shown signs of disagreement.
Devon has voiced the opinion that Mariah is sick and troubled.

Abby is furious that Mariah stole her child. Neither perspective is wrong, but disagreeing on a matter as huge as Mariah’s future could come between Dabby.

Devon’s World Falling Apart

Making matters worse for Devon, his sister Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and her kids have been “kidnapped.” Devon must deal with two tragic circumstances, and this is a man who on a good day barely musters the excitement of a sloth.

Who will help Devon process the drama? Maybe the better question is, how will Devon cope? Maybe by helping of Mariah.

How Does Mariah Help Devon?

We know that Dom is found safe and sound, thank goodness. Next comes Mariah’s consequences. If Abby shrieks on about extreme punishment, this could swerve Devon to become even more sympathetic to Mariah.

Devon knows that Mariah loves Dom–whom she named Bowie—that can’t be denied. Will he feel compelled to take her side as his marriage crumbles under the strain of recent events?
