Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) accepted Victor’s financial investment in Chancellor-Winters for multiple reasons. She is a savvy businesswoman, just as Victor is a shrewd businessman. Both people care about Devon and Lily while distrusting Tucker’s goals based on his long backstory.

Y R Spoilers – What Would Katherine Chancellor Say?

Victor said that his old friend, the late Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper). While he, Nikki, and Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) were waxing nostalgic about the Grande Dame at the bicentennial gala, Victor noted that Katherine had a sharp tongue.

If Katherine were still alive, she likely would have scolded Devon for battling with his sister. She would have also offered Jill a few choice words regarding the initial public stock offering plan.

As for Tucker, Katherine would tell her son that he must be truthful in wanting to sell Devon McCall Unlimited with no strings attached post-sale. She would likely encourage Devon to review the terms of any proposed deal down to the letter and every punctuation mark.

Katherine left Chancellor Industries to Victor in her will. She did not leave it to Tucker. Instead, she bequeathed him her vinyl collection.

The love of music is something Neil, Devon, and Tucker share. That common thread makes it possible to believe Katherine would have encouraged Tucker to pursue his idea of serving as Devon’s advisor after he purchased McCall Unlimited from his biological father.
