However, he eventually gave in and accepted Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) proposal. During the week of April 25, Lily will have certain expectations and demands. One of these Devon isn’t comfortable with, creating conflict with Lily.

Y&R spoilers reveal that when Lily first approached Devon with the merger idea, the answer wasn’t an immediate yes. Devon needed time to think about it as he wanted to be sure to make the right decision. Devon had concerns about the merger going wrong, and it is affecting his relationship with Lily.

Devon brought up his concerns, but Lily promises that nothing would destroy their relationship. Lily said she would even leave Chancellor Industries to keep her relationship with Devon intact.

Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) was informed of the merger proposal. Amanda wanted to be sure that if Devon agreed, she looked at the contract first. As a lawyer, Amanda felt she could make sure Devon’s best interests were in the paperwork.

However, Amanda was taken by surprise when Devon told her he agreed to Lily’s proposition. The worry on Amanda’s face was clear but she still gave Devon her full support.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that during the week of April 25, there will already be problems with the merger. Lily and Devon run companies very differently. While Lily has no problem doing interviews and being on camera, Devon prefers to work behind the scenes. Instead of respecting this difference, Lily wants to force Devon to get in the spotlight.

Y&R Spoilers – Bryton James On Storyline

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, James said,

“Devon knows his sister is used to being in front of the camera… But Devon is still a kid from the streets who isn’t comfortable with being in the spotlight.”

Lily doesn’t seem to be willing to waver her expectations of Devon. It sounds like Lily’s public eye expectations could ruin this merger – and their relationship – right from the start. James teased,

“It does make sense that they take the reins together. However, Devon realizes that he didn’t think this through, so will he be able to get on board with Lily’s vision?”
