The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Is Qualified

Kyle could not disagree with his wife’s assessment. Phyllis’ background qualifies her to head the new venture.

However, he and Summer had to hash out some ground rules for their mothers. Neither will be allowed to go at each other or respond to a real, or perceived provocation.

The zero-tolerance policy that Diane and Phyllis were informed of seems sure to be tested. Of course, this makes great soap, with Walter’s alter ego being initially far more concerned about it than Stafford’s.

Y&R Spoilers – Diane Jenkins Has Dealt With Worse

Diane appreciated Kyle reinforcing how he feels about her. Kyle let his mother back into his life despite Diane having faked her murder.

Kyle also hired Diane at Marchetti after she asked for his help in finding a job, not necessarily intending it to be working for him and his wife. He also recently told Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) that Didi is more than a friend. She is Harrison’s grandmother.

Diane agrees that she has dealt with far worse than Phyllis’ obvious intent to sabotage her at Marchetti. So, the ground rules Kyle and Summer laid out should provide guard rails that conceivably protect both ladies.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Happy Couple Undermined By Mothers-in-law?

Kyle and Summer are happier than they have ever been on Y&R. The writing staff rapidly aged their maturity levels, with a wink to the SORAS (soap opera rapid aging syndrome) technique that advances the ages of characters in daytime for purposely plot effect.

Diane and Phyllis are sure to come into conflict. Complaints will follow, with Kyle and Summer serving as referees and considering termination for one or both employees.

But will the couple that married off-screen in Italy last year move off the same page, feeling compelled to side with each person’s mother on Y&R? That telegraphed outcome seems like a good bet to make.
