Phyllis knew something was wrong when she spoke with Jack on the phone during his return trip to California. So, she got on a plane, endured all that modern flights involve, and appeared in front of Jack at the enticing outdoor restaurant that served as his west coast meeting place.

It is good that Phyllis allowed her instinct to guide her because the story Jack told her was incredible. Diane was alive and now, based on her desire to see Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), is moving back to GC.

Devoted viewers recall that the hotel’s opener included punch being spiked with unlawful substances. Other events, including a hostage hold, claimed hauntings, and various GC residents choosing to call the GP home have taken place since this hotel and destination spa debuted.

Phyllis became sole owner after she was part of a pairing that bought out Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), outwitted Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), and beat back Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle), her last name at the time, takeover attempt.

So, to have Diane move in, initially in disguise, is par for the course for the hotel that Phyllis owns. It has become her signature comeback vehicle.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jack Abbott Needs Help Battling Viper

Diane is for Diane. Nothing has changed through the years, as Jack, Phyllis, and the combination of multiple retrospective scenes and Diane’s current actions prove.

It is natural for Diane to want to see her son. Yes, it will be a shock. Jack wants to handle the reintroduction, with plenty of angst anticipated.

As for Phyllis, she knows that Diane was a true rival and wants to become that again. Jack is the man Phyllis once loved. He may become the man she remarries, with that possibility increasing now that Diane is alive and still wants him as well.
