For a few minutes, Phyllis probably thinks Jack has lost his mind amid grief and shock. After all, Jack is mourning the loss of his estranged son, Keemo Abbott (formerly played by Philip Moon). Jack is also wrapping his head around discovering he has a grown granddaughter.

Jack will tell Phyllis about Diane’s request. Even though Jack makes it clear that he won’t let Diane hurt Kyle again, Phyllis has a different perspective. Phyllis feels that Kyle is old enough to make that decision for himself.
