The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Does Devon Need To Move On, Nate Calls Him Out

The Young and the Restless spoilers show that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) are still at odds, and it appears that both will pay for Nate’s actions in the end. Devon, on the other hand, confronts his cousin and demands an explanation.

Nate doesn’t seem to be going to say anything, so I’m hoping we’re about to witness another altercation between these two! Let them fight it out and see who wins; it will be entertaining and less monotonous than a hostile takeover of a company.

There are a lot of things that Devon decides based on whether or not his father, Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) would have done it or not. He constantly begins his father into conversations that don’t call for it and while it’s nice to remember him but you shouldn’t base your entire life around him.

Then, Devon has the audacity to say that Neil would never forgive Nate for what he’s done. Devon certainly appears to be allowing his feelings to rule his behavior. I have to have to say that Neil would certainly pardon Nate. He was the kind of person who would never harbor animosity toward him, let alone completely cut him out of his life.

I think that while it may sound like it was out of line, Nate told Devon the truth, and it was the harsh truth that he needed to hear. Devon can not continue to mold his existence around his father and understand that it would be alright to do something different.

Had Devon listened to Nate in the first place without shutting down every single one of his ideas, they would not be in this place. I think Neil would want Devon to be able to move on with his life and not keep him in the back of his mind 24/7. There is certainly a time and a place for Devon to remember him and listen to his thoughts, but he may have gone too far.

Of course, this will probably lead to another fight and Devon will do so ‘righteously’ as he believes his father would want him to.
