The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Filming Restarts Next Week?

Y&R spoilers indicate that filming could resume as early as next week. That has not been confirmed, but it is possible. As of right now, the cast and crew are not back on set yet. There is a lot that has to be done before everyone can get back to business.

At some point in the near future, actors will be back on the set. But first, everyone has to test negative for the active coronavirus. Once that happens, there will continue to be tests done on a regular and periodic basis. There also needs to be deep cleaning and sanitizing, as well as solutions to the safety protocols.

We do know that the cast is currently getting those COVID-19 tests done. Plus, Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) showed off a new haircut. So, they are just waiting for that big green light.

The Young and the Restless has a target date of July 6 to return to production. However, that is not set in stone. There are so many different factors that can cause that date to change. It’s not just what happens as far as testing and social distancing regulations, but the pandemic numbers as well. The infection rates have been skyrocketing again and there could be a decision to scale back the reopening phase. If that happens, then it could definitely affect filming.

One question that fans have is when new episodes of The Young and the Restless could air on CBS. There hasn’t been an answer to this question. However, it was suggested by a lot of publications not to expect anything until August at the earliest, but with fall 2020 being a more likely date.

Of course, if one looks at its sister soap, then new episodes could return much sooner. B&B head writer and executive producer Bradley Bell said they were trying to get new episodes to viewers within a few weeks. We hope that it’s the same with Y&R because we are definitely ready for new scenes to air on CBS!
