The Young and the Restless Spoilers Friday, December 21: Nate Warns Newman’s Nikki On Her Death Bed, Jack And Kerry Heat Up

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) begins with Nick (Joshua Morrow) asking Nate (Brooks Darnell) to “bottom line” it when it comes to his mother, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Nate says her condition isn’t improving; and her injuries are different than Victor’s (Eric Braeden) when he was in his coma, although her MS isn’t a factor he wants to do more testing. Nick is confident she is tough enough to get through this, but Nate says the longer she remains unconscious, the worse the prognosis.

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) drinks her tea as Billy (Jason Thompson) prepares the kids for their pageant; Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) watches in silence. Victoria feels she should be at the hospital, but Billy says she needs to be at Johnny’s pageant first.

Young And Restless Spoilers – Nikki’s Prognosis Bleak

When she begins to feel guilty for not seeing that her mom was drinking again, Reed says it isn’t her fault; but Johnny interrupts them in his costume. Victoria gets a call from Nick, learning there is no change and she should probably get there soon.

Lola (Sasha Calle) arrives at the Abbott mansion, where she tells Kyle (Michael Mealor) she isn’t used to the winters. She feels the house is a Christmas wonderland. Jack (Peter Bergman) joins them, saying him and Kerry (Alice Hunter) decorated the whole tree; he congratulates Lola on her new job as she hopes she is up to the challenge. Kyle wants to get changed, worried how Lola’s family will think he is stuck up but Jack assures him that once they see how much he cares for Lola, they won’t care how much he spends on his shoes. Jack thanks Kyle for the inspiration, saying he plans to have a romantic dinner with Kerry and then an epic surprise.

Mia (Noemi Rosales) and Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) prepare the house for their family celebration. She feels they are in a better place, but he tells her to manage her expectations. She reveals that she has invited Sharon (Sharon Case) and wants to become friends with her as she is such an important person in Rey’s life.

Young and Restless Spoilers – Sharon Comforts Nick

Meanwhile, Sharon goes to Memorial, bringing Crimson Lights coffee and food for Nick. He admits Nate’s words are a blur but the look on his face breaks Nick, who cries as she reveals Nikki is not getting better. He wishes Nikki would have confided in him and he could have helped carry some of it; as Sharon hugs him, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) witnesses their closeness from the hallway.

Abby (Melissa Ordway) thanks Arturo (Jason Canela) for being there, as she runs the company with Nick being at the hospital. He gives her the information she needed and a possible Christmas present, saying she needs to wait for her main one, but this one is for cheering her up. He asks her to come to dinner at Rey’s place; Abby sees through the gift, calling it a “bribe”.

Victoria sends Johnny to the kitchen and tells Billy and Reed she needs to go to the hospital. She tells Reed he needs to go to the Christmas concert, and can’t do any good sitting in the ICU. He feels if it was him in the coma, Nikki would be by his side the whole time; neither one of them can argue with him and Billy says he will explain to Johnny as they leave.

Young And Restless Spoilers – Victoria And Reed Visit Nikki

Phyllis tries to reassure Nick that Nikki will fight hard as Sharon says she isn’t fighting alone and must know that Nick is there for her as he always is for the people he loves when they are in crisis. Phyllis tries to dismiss her, but Sharon reminds her that when things like this happens, you put issues aside and asks Nick to keep her posted. Victoria and Reed arrive as Phyllis says Rey better find this “hit n run scum” because she wants him celebrating New Years behind bars. Victoria brings Reed in to see Nikki, hoping that she will know they are there and it will help.

Arturo swears this isn’t a bribe, saying her coming with him to Rey’s house is doing them both a favor; reminding her that this is family and neither of them can change that. Abby doesn’t feel it matters what they think but he thinks it does since Rey labeled him the family screw up a long time ago and wasn’t joking when he said he doesn’t know what someone like Abby would see in someone like him. Arturo is determined to prove otherwise, Abby kisses him and agrees to go, still calling the gift a bribe. He informs her that Lola helped him picking it and the jacket is for when they go camping in the Spring; they joke about what camping means to each other.

Young And Restless Spoilers – Kerry And Jack’s Date

Kerry and Jack thoroughly enjoy their dinner at GCAC, where she suggests different things for Christmas. He presents her with a brochure to Bora Bora for Christmas; she is utterly shocked as she looks over the brochure. She tells him it is very tempting, but she has responsibilities. He says they can go right after the holidays. She feels they are going at different speeds and this is a lovely idea but she needs to think about it as she always does before embarking on any decision. Jack understands but wants her to feel confident and happy about her decision, either way. She kisses him on the cheek and leaves, confusing him.

Kyle and Lola arrive as Mia is thrilled to see them; Rey gives Kyle a hard time but pulls him away to talk. Mia tells Lola to let Rey get it over with as she is sure Kyle can handle himself. Abby and Arturo bring dessert; Mia says it means the world to Rey for him being there. Mia likes Abby’s coat as Lola talks about the camping adventure that comes with it; they both tease her to make sure she knows where the nearest hotel is. The door bell rings again and Sharon arrives, also bringing dessert; Mia calls her thoughtful and an angel.

Young And Restless Sopilers – Awkward Rosales Holiday Party

Sharon is happy to be invited, as Abby watches from a distance. Mia rubs it in Sharon’s face that her and Rey are like newlyweds again as Sharon feels that is great. Mia thanks her for being there for Rey before she got there and hopes they can become friends too. Sharon looks at Abby, walking away before she can answer Mia. Sharon pretends to give Abby an update on Nikki, even if she heard it.

Rey and Arturo tell Kyle stories about how they would harass Lola’s boyfriends. Kyle tells them that he cares about Lola and respects her hugely. They both want to know what his intentions are with Lola; he is happy Abby joins the conversation, hoping she would save him, but she wants to know what his intentions are with Lola too and if he doesn’t treat her the way she deserves, he will be answering to the Rosales brothers and her! Lola joins them and says it is time for them to stop messing with Kyle as she takes him away. He wants to know if every holiday will be like this; Mia tells Lola she is the one refreshing drinks.

Young And Restless Spoilers – Reed Feels Guilty

Rey talks to Sharon, apologizing for not knowing she was invited. Mia joins them, reminding Rey this is a party. Billy brings Johnny to Crimson, saying how proud he was of him and that he took lots of pictures. He hopes, like everyone else, that grandma Nikki will be home for Christmas. Victoria continues to talk to Nikki as Reed watches in horror and silence. She apologizes for not seeing the price Nikki paid for taking on all their family problems. Reed asks to have a minute alone with Nikki. Reed tells Nikki this is all his fault.

Everyone enjoyed the meal at the Rosales party. Abby and Kyle talk about their traditions revolving around snow, but they learn more about the Rosales traditions. Rey reveals that he gave their mom’s favorite singer a warning and if he needed anything to ask. He came to serenade their mother, every Christmas. Mia doesn’t like the exchange between Sharon and Rey and talks about how the skinny dipped that night. Rey says he didn’t as he had to drive the singer home; Lola and her mother didn’t do it either. The looks between Arturo and Mia, say it all and the night quickly comes to an end.

Victoria tells Nick and Phyllis that Reed is taking this really hard; especially on top of finding out his father was murdered too. Nick feels this is all the more reason to find the person who did this and make them pay.

Young And Restless Spoilers – Jack And Kerry Heat Up

Jack finds Kerry at his door, who reveals she would love to go to Bora Bora with him; before he can say anything she kisses him. He promises it will be the vacation of a lifetime. She says her bags are packed and there is no reason they can’t start the vacation tonight. He brings her upstairs and the two of them make love.

Abby blindfolds Arturo, telling him to remain that way unless he doesn’t want his gift early. She stands in front of him, wearing only the coat he bought her. He asks about her having a bedroom upstairs as he is having trouble making his brain work.

Young And Restless Spoilers – Mia Seduces Rey

Rey walks into Crimson to bring Sharon a gift. She opens it and its a leave inside a medal, as he explains it is in honor of the road trip they never got to take. He says even though he is with Mia, she is so important to him; she reciprocates the feelings. She has to close up the coffeehouse and she tells him she will see him at work. Mia smiles as she waits for Rey to return, thanking him for taking out the trash. She talks about the night and he tells her to congratulate herself on a good night. She feels there is only one way to improve it and the two fall onto the couch kissing.

Reed tells Nikki, he is the reason she is hooked up to all the machines. He was driving the car that hit her but he didn’t know until the next day. He wants to admit it, but is ashamed and scared; terrified she can die because of him. He cries as he tells her how much he loves her, apologizing and feeling this makes him just as bad as his father.

Young And Restless Spoilers – Nate Says Victor Must Come To Hospital To Say Goodbye

Nate returns, saying the tests didn’t furnish any information. He says there is no one who will tell them any different. They need to find their father and get him to the hospital. He tells them they need to prepare for the worst.
