The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Friday, January 24 – Adam Worries Chance – Chloe Spills Her Secret – Summer & Kyle Head To San Francisco

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, January 24, tease that the action is really heating up on the CBS soap. But before we get to that, we have a programming note. As you probably are aware, the impeachment hearings are ongoing. Assuming that CBS airs a new episode of Y&R on Friday, we have the scoop about what you can expect right here.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Chloe Mitchell Fumes Over Chelsea Lawson’s Relationship With Adam Newman

First off, at the Grand Phoenix, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will notice Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) sitting in the lobby. He’ll show her something on his laptop – it’s a new tech company that he just bought that specializes in video games. They’ll joke that Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) can be the game tester, then talk will turn to today being Connor’s first day back to school.

Adam and Chelsea will be kissing when Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) walks in and grimaces. She’ll later tell Chelsea that it’s insane that she’s back together with Adam, but Chelsea will shut her down and instead invite her and Bella Fisher (Cali May Kinder) to come with her to pick up Connor and get hot chocolate. Chloe will reluctantly agree.

Across the lobby at the Grand Phoenix, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will see Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) walk in. She’ll approach him, wondering if he has another hot date with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). However, he’ll say that she is busy with work all week, and Phyllis will push him to go out with her. He’ll be reluctant, but he’ll eventually agree to dinner with her.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Chance Chancellor Approaches Adam Newman About Their Big Secret

From there, Chance will approach Adam, and he’ll immediately declare that “we have a problem.” He’ll tell Adam that “she’s” missing and has completely fallen off the radar. Chance will be tense and upset, while Adam plays it cool and tells him to take it down a notch. Adam will say that “she’s” not lost, and that she’ll resurface too to cash his check.

Chance will wonder what that means, and he’ll be stunned to learn that Adam has been sending “her” money. Chance will be peeved that he’s just now hearing about this, and Adam will say that all he needs to know is that everything is taken care of. Chance won’t like any of this one bit.

Next on Y&R, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will get updates from Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) at Jabot. They’ll go over their plan for their big trip to San Francisco, and Jack will say that he definitely picked the right team for this trip, and that they should “go get ‘em.” Summer and Kyle will be happy and ready for their trip.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Kyle Abbot Takes a New Approach With Theo Vanderway

Summer and Kyle will see Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) in the hallway on their way out, and Theo will quip that he’ll hold down the fort for them while they’re gone. Kyle will nicely say that he’s counting on Theo to do just that, and he’ll even outstretch his hand for a cordial handshake. Summer will notice and think it’s all very strange.

After Theo goes, Kyle will tell Summer that he’s turned over a new leaf and is going to kill Theo with kindness every time he tries to goad him. Summer will note that it sounds like a good plan, and the two will happily leave in the elevator for their trip.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Jack Abbott Lays Down The Law With Theo Vanderway

Later, Jack will call Theo into his office for a big talk. Theo will be worried and wonder if Jack is unhappy with his work, but Jack will say that he’s perfectly happy with Theo’s performance. Instead, Jack will note that there’s been a lot of friction between him and Kyle lately. Theo will sort of blame Kyle for it, then indicate that it’s just a clash of styles.

Jack will note that Theo seems to be a lot like Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams), although her own special set of rules didn’t always benefit her or anyone else. Jack will call out Theo on how he goads Kyle, and Theo will note that it goes both ways. Jack will realize that, but he’ll point out that now he’s talking to Theo and he doesn’t want to have this conversation again. Theo will say that he understands.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Fen Baldwin Makes A Stunning Announcement

Next on Y&R, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Fenmore “Fen” Baldwin) will meet for a meal at Society. They’ll talk about Fen’s drug problem, and Devon will tell Fen not to beat himself up over it. He’ll also note that when Fen goes back on tour, that LP will have a sobriety coach and other resources for him. But Fen will say that he’s not going back on tour, as he’s chosen to protect his sobriety. Devon will wish him well.

Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will then arrive, and Fen will break the news that he’s not going back on tour, and that he’s planning to move to Nashville to live with a group of sober friends. This will come as a shock to Lauren and Michael, but ultimately they’ll support Fen’s decision, although they will miss him once he’s gone.

Next on Y&R, on the Crimson Lights patio, Chloe and Chelsea will gush over Bella and Connor hitting it off, and then talk will turn to the fact that Connor has Delia Abbott’s (Sophie Pollono) corneas and how special that is. Adam will then come in, and Chelsea will insist that she didn’t plan this – Adam just showed up on his own.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Chloe Mitchell Reveals A Secret To Adam Newman

Adam and Chloe will step inside to get hot chocolate for everyone, as Chloe will clearly want to talk with Adam. Once inside, Chloe will tell Adam that Chelsea may be falling for his act, but that she is not. She’ll proceed to read him the riot act, throwing in that she should have just left him in the road to die. Adam will then figure out that Chloe is the one who saved him when Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) tried to run him down.

Ultimately, Chloe still won’t be happy with Adam, but the two will seem to reach an understanding after Adam professes that he’ll be good to Chelsea and Connor. After their chat, Chelsea will come over to Adam and ask him what he and Chance were talking about earlier at the Grand Phoenix. She’ll directly ask whether there’s anything he needs to tell her, and he’ll say no before kissing her.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Kyle Abbott & Lola Abbott Share An Unsettling Goodbye

Next on Y&R, back at Society, Devon will talk with Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle), who will still be worried about her fight with Kyle. Kyle will come in, and the two will say their goodbyes ahead of his trip to San Francisco. Kyle won’t like leaving when things are still unsettled between them, and Lola will note that it seems like they are out of sync. They’ll kiss and agree to talk when he comes back. Kyle will walk out without saying “I love you,” which Lola will notice.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Summers Offers Summer Newman Some Advice

Finally, on the next episode of Y&R, Summer will come to see Phyllis at the Grand Phoenix on her way out of town with Kyle. Phyllis will note that Summer has her lucky necklace on, and Summer will explain that this is a big trip for Kyle. Phyllis will hope that Summer isn’t thinking about putting Kyle’s success first or wanting to go after Kyle again.

But Phyllis will note that if Summer were to go after Kyle again, she could get him just like that, since she’s 10x the woman that Lola is. Phyllis will tell Summer that she knows that she’s still in love with Kyle, and never to be second best. Kyle will then come in to get Summer and the two will leave together, with Phyllis looking concerned.
