Summer Newman’s Parenting Decision

Y&R spoilers for Friday, May 17 reveal that Summer is standing firm on her decision about Claire.

Summer has made it perfectly clear to Claire, Kyle, and everyone else how she feels. Summer ordered Kyle to keep Claire away from Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell). 

Summer now realizes that Claire was Jordan’s victim just like Harrisson. At the same time, Claire knows that Harrison was only kidnapped because he was with Claire at the time.

Summer also feels strongly that it’s better for Harrison’s well-being to stay away from Claire. Summer didn’t say forever, she just said “for now.” 

While Claire is a victim, Summer’s top priority is Harrison. Any parent would feel the same way about Claire if it were their child.

Kyle Abbott’s Veto

Kyle has bonded with Claire just like Harrison. Kyle feels that Harrison and Claire not only share a connection, but a shared traumatizing experience.

Kyle also feels that with Harrison’s trust issues, Claire might be the best person to babysit him for now.

Kyle also has some romantic feelings for Claire, although he hasn’t acted on them yet. So, that could be clouding some of Kyle’s decisions.

It is teased that Kyle vetoes Summer’s decision about Claire. So, it sounds like Kyle allows Claire to meet with Harrison again.

Jordan Strikes Back

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, May 17 reveal that Victor will continue his plan against Jordan. However, something goes wrong and Victor’s plan suddenly takes a dangerous turn.

It sounds like Jordan will either fight back or escape. Perhaps Jordan plays dead and then attacks when Victor opens the door. Victor better hope Jordan doesn’t get away!
