The Young And The Restless Spoilers Friday, October 16: Dina Passes Away After Jack Reunites Her With The Teardrop Of Love – Abbott Family’s Emotional Goodbye

CBS The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, October 16, tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will encounter Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) sitting in Chancellor Park. Ashley will be about to go sit with Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams), who had a rough night. Meanwhile, in Genoa City, Wisconsin Ashley will express gratitude to Victor for helping Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) find the “teardrop of love” necklace. Victor will refuse to discuss the exposé with Ashley, but he will express interest in visiting with Dina, so he and Ashley will head over to the mansion.

Traci Abbott & Abby Newman Prepare Themselves For Dina Mergeron’s Passing

Next on Y&R, over at Crimson Lights, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will chat about Dina’s rapid decline. Ashley will recount how Dina was gasping for breath last night and needed oxygen from the medical team.

Abby and Traci will take comfort that Dina won’t be alone when the end comes, and Traci will say that Dina lived an amazing and full life. Traci will want to talk about Abby’s relationship with Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz), and Abby will share that she’s thinking about having a baby with Chase. Traci will be happy for Abby, and she’ll promise to help tell Abby’s kids all about Dina.

Meanwhile, at the Abbott mansion, Jack will doze off and have a dream about a young Dina (Cathy Marks) and a young John Abbott (Jonathan Stoddard) dancing in the living room as Dina happily wears the “teardrop of love” necklace. But Jack’s dream will get disturbing when Dina clutches her neck and her necklace is gone. In the dream, young Dina will ask why Jack took the necklace away. Jack will appear in the dream, telling his young mother that the necklace has been stolen.

Then, older Dina will appear in Jack’s dream, demanding that Jack bring the necklace back home. After Jack wakes up, he’ll call Lauren Baldwin (Tracey Bregman), who will be over at Jabot with Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc). Lauren will tell Jack that she’s got the “teardrop of love” necklace, and Jack will leave to go retrieve it, bumping into Ashley and Victor on his way out.

Next on Y&R, Victor and Ashley will talk in the Abbott living room, after Victor has visited with Dina. Ashley will bring up the topic of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and all the terrible things he’s done to people. Victor will insist that he’s Adam’s father and that he will never turn his back on his son. Victor will eventually leave, asking Ashley to give his best to the entire family during this time.

At Jabot, Lauren and Michael will be talking about the “teardrop of love” necklace when Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) arrives. Michael and Lauren will congratulate Kyle on his marriage, but Kyle will have to tell them that the elopement never happened. Soon, Jack will arrive to retrieve the necklace, and he and Kyle will head over to the mansion to meet Traci, Abby, and Ashley there.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Dina Mergeron’s Family Waits For The Right Time To Reunite Her With The Necklace

At the Abbott mansion, Traci, Jack, Kyle, Abby, and Ashley will prepare themselves for Dina’s eventual passing, and they’ll agree to give Dina the necklace when she wakes up. A lot of time will pass, and various conversations will take place among everyone while they wait for Dina to become awake and alert.

Soon, Dina will emerge from the bedroom, and as she sits in a chair, Jack will present her with the necklace. Dina will instantly recognize the necklace, and it will awaken something in her. Dina will clearly say “thank you” to Jack for the necklace, which will stun Jack completely.

Y&R Spoilers – Dina Mergeron Says A Final Goodbye To Her Children

Next on Y&R, Dina will speak clearly to each of her children. “I need you all to listen,” Dina will say. “I ran away from my life. In my heart, I was with you always. And I always will be forever. Don’t you make my mistakes?” Jack, Traci, and Ashley will be stunned to hear their mother talking so coherently and clearly.

Dina will continue. “My darling Traci,” Dina will say. “You will never ever be forgotten.” Traci will be in tears. Dina will turn to Ashley and say, “Ashley, I’m so sorry and you know what for. You know who you are – an Abbott – and no one can take that away from you.” Finally, Dina will turn to Jack and say, “My dearest Jackie, this is your family now. Keep them safe,” Jack will say that he will.

Dina Mergeron Joins Jack Abbott In The Hereafter

Traci, Ashely, and Jack will together tell Dina that they love her, and Dina will tell them that she loves them all. Next, viewers will see an empty living room, and Dina will walk to the front door and open them into white light. Dina will hear John Abbott’s (Jerry Douglas) voice calling her from the light. Dina will call out to John as well.

Finally, on Friday’s episode of Y&R, Dina will be sitting in the living room chair holding the necklace, as she gently passes away. “Goodbye, mother,” Jack will say softly.
