The Young And The Restless Spoilers – How Did Richard Nealon Die?

It was said to be a car accident all those years ago. That remains the story, with no one claiming otherwise until recently.

This part of the plot is a bit sketchy, but Sutton was implicated in recent months in the death of Amanda’s father. Landron’s character is believed to have taken bribes from Newman Enterprises in return for political favoritism more than thirty years ago.

Richard Nealon (no actor’s name known for this retrospective role) is said to have been in possession of damaging information pertaining to Sutton. But Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) tell to Amanda and his claimed internal investigation about his former employee attempts to thwart that speculation.

Victor says that Newman Enterprises is clean. So, it’s no surprise that he also said no one who was employed at that time is still working for the company.

As for Victor’s voluntary investigation, he says that a report is available. Amanda should read it. While it can’t be seen as a neutral take, there might be some information that could lead her to the answers she needs.

Hopefully, Victor’s remembrance of Richard telling him that he was searching for his child (Amanda) was the real story. If so, that could exonerate her father of wrong-doing and possibly help Sutton as well.

Sutton didn’t want Naya to keep the twins that she was pregnant with in college. So, it’s plausible to believe that if Sutton was willing to tell his daughter to give away her first-born children, then he might have also been inclined to silence his grandchildren’s father.

However, Eric Benedict’s (no actor known to be cast for this role) backstory hasn’t been told yet. When did Naya’s husband enter the picture? Might he be the one who was involved in Richard’s death?

Sutton and or Naya might not know the answers to the two questions above. So, Amanda’s climb could be steep. But she’s determined to find learn how her father died and to confirm who was responsible for that happening.
