CBS The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) are in the midst of a barn-burning battle. It echoes the numerous family wars from Y&R’s ages past.
The barn reference was a wink to the cover story that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) put in place all those years ago on the farm in Kansas. He and Hope Wilson’s (Signy Coleman) caretaker weren’t going to allow the then young Adam (Dane West) to be separated from his mother due to the legal circumstances that could have resulted.
So, A.J. Montalvo’s (Marcus DeAnda) body was moved from Hope’s dining room, where he’d fallen to his death after Adam pushed him in a fit of rage while protecting his mother. Billy learned this tale through Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and felt compelled to publish that, with plans to do more.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Delia Abbott’s Death Was Accidental
Hardcore Y&R fans know that Adam (as then played by Michael Muhney) came to believe that he’d hit Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) on a dark highway road on the outskirts of Genoa City, Wisconsin. Adam panicked after finding remnants of Delia’s Halloween outfit under his wheel wells.
Rather than report what he’d found to Paul Williams (Doug Davidson), Adam burned Delia’s clothing in the penthouse fireplace. His actions were later exposed, but he avoided what would have been a long jail sentence due to his name. Regardless, Adam never intentionally hit Delia and may not have actually done so, though that theory has never been more deeply explored.
Y&R Spoilers – Billy Abbott Won’t Look Back
Billy told Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) that he’s not exposing the Kansas story because of a vendetta. His claim is that he’s also not interested in revealing all that Adam did in Las Vegas, Nevada, because of any lingering personal angst he has for Grossman’s character.
Alyssa told Billy that her motivation was to let the public know the truth about Adam. Her claim, similar to Billy’s, is that this isn’t about her father’s death, but rather about justice here and now.
Simply watching Billy’s interactions with Adam confirms that a grudge still exists. How could it not after losing his daughter?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – The Moustache And A Smile
Victor and Jack are two of Y&R’s greatest sparring partners. Their legendary battles were part of many memorable arcs and stand-out episode moments, or as loyal viewers would recall, one particular moment when Jack stepped over Victor’s seemingly dead body in the Colonnade Room.
Y&R has modernized the family rivalry angle between Newman’s and Abbott’s by focusing on Adam and Billy. Like Braeden and Bergman, Grossman and Thompson sport the acting chops to keep killing, which makes for an enduringly great soap.
