The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) was arrested for kidnapping. While Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) is handling her case, the redhead could be headed for more trouble.
Is it too late to save or redeem the redhead? Keep reading and let’s talk about what could be coming up ahead in the CBS soap opera.
Kidnapping Resolution
Let’s start off with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Ethan Ray Clark). Within a few days, Mariah and Dominic were located.
Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) held Mariah as they were escorted to the police station by Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen).
Once Mariah was processed, she was given an ankle monitor and released to her mother’s care. Christine helped out a lot with the bail/bond.
However, now Christine and Mariah need to prepare for the trial ahead of them. Mariah has pleaded not guilty.
Complicated Legal Case
Christine warned Mariah that she needs to be well-behaved. However, it seems the lawyer couldn’t get Mariah to talk much. The redhead did say some concerning things to Sharon.
Obsession & Psychosis
It seems that there is a part of Mariah that knows what she did was wrong. There are times when she even appears remorseful and horrified by her own actions.
Then, the other part of the time, Mariah mutters how, “This isn’t right.” Then, with Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) taking steps to protect her family, it sounds like Mariah attempts to see Dominic again.
Fans already know that Mariah began “seeing” Ian Ward (Ray Wise) when she was in the Boston mental health clinic. Eventually, she left the clinic and began dealing with Ian’s pressure in a hotel room. Now that Mariah is going on trial, will Ian continue to appear to her?
Is Mariah just unwell, or has she developed a split personality? Maybe “Ian” is her dark half, something that she can’t quite accept yet.
From Hero to Villain?
In any case, it seems that Mariah isn’t ready to deal with the consequences. Even though she claims to want to get better, she still seems obsessed with Dominic. Could there be no path back for the redhead? Are we seeing a good girl turn full villain?
If so, then maybe Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Aria Porter-Copeland (Millie and Maddie Ingle) should stay far away from the lady.
After all, why dump her own daughter to steal a child that isn’t legally hers? There’s a lot that doesn’t make sense, so stay tuned!
