The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) have learned from their mistakes. That, along with parental instincts, is why they are rightly concerned about their son’s direction.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is behaving like a spurned spouse. But his wife’s wrong actions arguably never rose to the irreconcilable differences level.

Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) was protecting her mother. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) put both of her children in terrible positions but did so because she was not in her right mind. Neither was Summer.

Kyle is behaving very disrespectfully to everyone except his new muse, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). Using his father’s self-proclaimed glory days nickname, Smiling Jack, was just another slam.

Jack’s notorious playboy days were filled with women, including Diane, family turmoil, and endless battles with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), among other storylines.

But Bergman’s character is not proud of the restless life he chose to lead and wants Kyle to learn from his mistakes.

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) eventually replaced Kyle as Jack’s co-Chief Executive Officer at Jabot. That happened after Billy’s replacement, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), voluntarily departed.

Y&R Spoilers – Not Recognizing What Diane Jenkins And Phyllis Summers Share

Kyle recently warned Billy not to go after his mother. Mealor’s character accepted Diane’s request for forgiveness after she made him realize that her frazzled mental state drove the faked murder scenario when he was a child.

Summer realized that her mother’s mental state was not balanced when she reappeared. Phyllis’ description of the faked poisoning ruse, which Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) devised, and her need to kill him in self-defense profoundly affected Summer.

Whether Kyle admits it or not, Diane and Phyllis did not willfully commit actions that were intended to hurt their children, with the aftereffects creating fierce collateral damage.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Switching One Family Problem For Another

Jack wants Kyle to return to Jabot and so does Diane. But if Jack accepts his son’s offer, Billy will feel deceived.

Billy’s greatest concern is that Jack will allow Diane to rise to a level that puts Jabot in a dangerous position.

So, Jack can cut out that flack by firing Billy and reinstalling Kyle as his co-CEO.

Jack’s choice is hard. He can keep Billy in place and continue to deal with his brother undermining Diane or cutting him loose.

But if that happens, Billy will likely be alienated from Jack indefinitely on Y&R.
