The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) can not hold himself back. With Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) encouragement, he continues to deepen efforts to attack his oldest sister.

Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) detests Jack’s now-wife. That lack of consideration and compassion has gotten Jack’s goat.

Jack probably would not be going after Ashley if she would have been able to restrain herself from trying to ruin Diane’s redemption efforts. But there is the Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) factor that also counterbalances Ashley’s visceral response to Diane.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Kyle Abbott Goes Astray

Kyle Abbott (now played by Michael Mealor) was devastated when being told, as a boy, that his mother was killed by Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). Her self-defense act was necessary because Diane (then played by Maura West) was out of her mind.

Diane’s decision to reintroduce herself as alive was not easy. She knew Jack and Kyle would be infuriated and might never forgive her.

But Kyle’s heart melted quickly because he accepted Diane’s explanation of her mental state during that time in her life.

Mealor’s character was not able to square his wife’s defense of Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who recently faked her death. Doing so prevented Diane from being cleared of poisoning Phyllis.

The consequence of Summers’ decision broke Kyle’s trust so badly that he ordered her out of the Abbott mansion as part of a separation. Then, he almost immediately paired with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) in a romantic relationship.

Y&R Spoilers – Tucker McCall More Dangerous Than Diane Jenkins

Diane refused to provide Tucker with the two quid pro quos he requested in exchange for keeping her Taylor Jensen cover while she was living in Los Angeles, California.

Tucker wanted Diane to let him know when Ashley was returning from Paris, France, and he asked her to provide him with Jabot’s financial information. She did neither which later lifted her status in Jack’s mind.

In contrast, Tucker continues to commit acts behind Ashley’s back. Some of those incidents, like manipulating Phyllis, include Ashley’s limited knowledge.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jack Abbott Risks His Position

Jack embraced Diane’s idea that Billy work for them undercover. Ashley followed by asking her younger brother to be a mole inside Jabot.

It feels like Jack’s hold on power is tenuous. Ashley is not in power but possesses the ability to pull her patents from the family business, which would certainly create a major impact on business.

Jack is not wrong to be suspicious of Tucker. That same is true of Ashley where Diane is concerned.

But Jack and Diane’s main concern should not be Ashley and Tucker’s relationship or whatever they think their plans are regarding Jabot. Kyle’s life is in disarray, and he needs his parent’s attention on Y&R.
