The Young And The Restless: Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman)The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal yet another special episode for the Emmys to consider and this one may net Peter Bergman yet another golden statuette as Jack Abbott takes a journey through his life and comes to some conclusions.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – It’s All In Jack Abbott’s Head

Confessing to Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) that he’s still madly in love with her and no woman can measure up — although he was hoping Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) could — has Jack (Peter Bergman) thinking about his life, so of course, he ends up in a dream state that doesn’t seem like a dream at first although it will seem like a dream soon enough.

In his dream, Nick (Joshua Morrow) lays into Jack for ruining his relationship with Phyllis, which is exactly what Jack did NOT want to do. He feels so guilty about saying what he did to Phyllis that he ends up in this dream.

When Jack seems to be transported to the Newman Ranch in the blink of an eye, we know all of these things are happening in Jack’s head. At the Ranch he laments to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) that what he said to Phyllis was only a drunken confession — perhaps he didn’t mean what he said. He is shocked to find Nikki drinking again, which can only mean trouble — if this wasn’t a dream.

When Jack finally wakes, he has some clarity and immediately asks Nick to meet him at Crimson Lights where he tells Nick the truth, but what could this truth be?

Y&R Spoilers – Peter Bergman Weighs In On Jack’s Transformation

Jack Abbott has certainly been the good guy in recent years, as well as the good guy who never, ever seems to get the girl. In the September 28 issue of Soap Opera Digest, Peter Bergman explains how much Smilin’ Jack has changed.

“Of course, I love the mischievous, manipulative Jack, but there’s something kind of sweet and interesting spending so much of your adult life not making the mark when you’ve set your father as the standard,” Bergman said. “And after so many years suddenly realizing, ‘My God, I’ve completely taken my father’s place in this family, and it turns out, I’m better at it than I thought.'”

Will a new Jack emerge? And what will he decide to tell Nick Newman? Stay tuned to The Young and the Restless weekdays to find out.
