Phyllis sensed that she and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) were out of sync before they saw their daughter, Summer Newman (), marry Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) in Milan, Italy. Then, as they flew south to Tuscany, Italy, their relationship continued in the same direction.

Nick shut Phyllis down, and she was out. Phick is over and, with time to think, Phyllis is willing herself to believe that Phack can return.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phack Was Good But Not Great

Phyllis sees Jack differently, both then and now. He is a stabilizing influence in her life. Yet, she strayed from him. The damage she caused lingers in Jack’s heart.

Y&R Restless Spoilers – Jack Abbott’s Search For Peace Of Mind

Jack has been searching for love in recent years, with his mother, Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams), urging him to focus on matters of the heart. But Bergman’s character also realized something during this personal quest.

Peace, meaning in his mind, is best. He can not afford to have his heart broken by Phyllis or anyone else at this stage of his life.

Jack wears his soapy heart on his sleeve and, as during these golden years, does not feel he has the strength to endure another high-maintenance relationship. So, would it be like that with Phyllis in 2021, 2022, and beyond?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – It Is Easy And Unrewarding To Play It Safe

Jack and Phyllis are mature. They are both at advanced spaces in their lives, rather than just Jack realizing enlightenment.

Conversations are fine. But even a first date would be a risk.

Jack needs to decide if he is completely opposed to even a mild dare or just wants to live alone forever. If so, avoiding all possible instances of potential personal danger can be had if he wants to remain a contemplative bachelor forever.

Veteran actor and character Jack desperately needs and deserves a great story, even a love story but not with Phyllis. He needs someone new and exciting, not some old rehash from the past, that didn't work out the first far too many times. Phyllis has cheated on Jack and dumped him too many times for many fans to really buy into them as a real love story, which is what Jack really needs and what myself and many other fans would love to see.

It was nice to see Victor and Nick have a mature and intelligent conversation, that was way overdue but nice to watch. I don't want to see Nick and Phyllis together again or Nick and Chelsea either. Those ships have sailed and ended too many times now to be interesting or entertaining.

If I have to watch Phyllis, which is tedious at the best of times, at least let it be with Ronan, they are more believable and interesting as a couple.

Well I love Phyllis. And I'd love to have she and Jack take another shot at a relationship. Phyllis is beautiful, funny, wicked smart. She says what's on her mind and doesn't back down from anyone. I don't care that she's cheated, so has every other women on Y&R….If my personal intolerance for adultery kept me from watching all the shows I love, I'd pretty much be restricted to the Disney channel. So I've got my fingers crossed for a Jack/Phyllis reunion..and hope the writers do better by them this time around.

Jack is just as bad as Nick. Both needs to stay away from Phyllis. Phyllis needs a break and not be seen for a few months she thinks she is all that and really is not.
