The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Jack Not Interested In Peace – Ashley Intends To Win

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) abided by his sister, Traci Abbott’s (Beth Maitland), recent request and began talking without emotion to Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). Ashley did the same.

While the oldest Abbott siblings cooled it, in deference to Traci’s reminder about what their father, the late John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) would expect, neither party intended to let the other win.

Jack’s next move is to try and force Ashley out of the Jabot Board of Directors. Traci and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) want Jack to reconsider acting in haste but his mind, like Ashley’s, remains set on victory.

Jack was in the process of reconciling with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) when Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) arrived by helicopter on the Abbott’s back lawn. That happened during Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) marriage vow renewal ceremony.

As viewers are reminded how quickly a handful of months can feel like years ago in storyline time, Ashley is deep into her plan to utilize Tucker’s presence as a destabilizer. St. John’s character keeps Jack and Diane off balance, which Ashley loves.

She sees Tucker as a useful ally, potentially including remarrying him if that helps forward her plan to put Jack in his place. Yes, Ash and Jackie continue to behave like they are battling teenagers, and their father, looking down from heaven, can not be pleased.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – John Abbott’s Presence Missed

A recent flashback Fourth of July episode was recently shown. The scenes in that show provided heartwarming shots of daytime days gone by and offered insight into today’s dramas.

John often played peacemaker between Jack and Ashley. While Traci’s stabilizer influence is valued and Billy is offering what he can to calm the waters, John’s absence is visible.

Jack sees himself as the patriarch of the family. Ashley sees herself as the matriarch. Both people should play into their strengths rather than trying to one-up each other, with their finances not serving as positive influences in this regard.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jack Abbott Remains In Charge?

Diane and Tucker are both insecure about where their engagements are concerned.

Jack’s pledge to Diane is real but she impatiently awaits her wedding day. Tucker’s engagement feels like a game, whether Ashley marries him before Jack and Diane get married.

As for the head of Jabot, Jack runs the company with Billy as his co-Chief Executive Officer. But Billy’s faith in his has been shaken.

So, Jack feels what is coming and intends to force Ashley out before she does the same to him on Y&R.
