It appears on-screen that they are closer but the characters can’t have normal romantic scenes due to the safety protocols. Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott) urged everyone to get the COVID vaccine so Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) can kiss.

Y&R spoilers reveal that earlier this week, Victoria kept bringing up treatment with Ashland. He got frustrated and said that he wasn’t going to get the treatment just to get a little more time. He also explained that the side effects are brutal and it won’t save his life, but might prolong it just a little bit. He insisted that no matter how many times Victoria brings it up, he’s not changing his mind.

Then, Victoria made a statement that left Ashland stunned. She admitted to falling in love with him. That is when he agreed to go get treatment so he could stay alive longer for her.

Y&R Spoilers – Life, Love And Cancer

It was previously confirmed that Victoria and Ashland would get closer both personally and professionally. We recently saw Locke Communications and Newman Enterprises publicly announce the merger. Then, Victoria invited him to move in with her. However, she also didn’t want her children to see the process of someone dying from cancer. So, she asked Billy and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) to take the kids more.

Even though Billy accused Victoria of dumping her children for a man, the two later discussed the situation. Victoria was able to explain why she’s making these decisions and Billy seemed to understand her perspective.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Thompson went to Instagram to talk about Ashland and Victoria’s scene. The lack of romance in the soap is due to the COVID safety precautions. He explained,

“Victoria and Ashland tell each other that they love each other and that they really want to make things work; their relationship work, and he’s going to get treatment for his cancer because he loves her so much and she loves him. And at the very end, Victoria and Ashland, they don’t kiss. They don’t embrace. They don’t love each other the way that we would in that moment — because in every single scene, we are still six feet apart, even though most of us are vaccinated.”

Y&R Spoilers – Vaccination Plea

At the end of the social media post, Thompson made a plea to his followers. He wants everyone to get the COVID vaccine so life can return to normal. He even gave an incentive to those who are enjoying Ashland and Victoria’s storyline,

“Get vaccinated… So we can all get back to normal and Victoria and Ashland can kiss.”
