Ordway spoke to Soap Opera Digest about Abby and Chance’s reunion. Before Abby has the opportunity to see Chance, she meets Kim Dunaway. However, Abby is very high energy and finding out Chance is alive just intensifies it. Kim isn’t used to someone like Abby. There is also another reason why Kim doesn’t take Abby to Chance immediately.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Kim is extremely protective of Chance. Even though Chance appears to be okay physically, his mental state is another story. This is part of the reason why Kim wants to calm Abby down before she goes charging in there all hyper and dramatic.

“Abby comes in all her ‘Abby-ness.’ She immediately says, ‘Where’s Chance? Tell me where he is!’ and you can tell Kim isn’t used to this kind of energy. Kim tells Abby, ‘Before you see him, you need to know what’s going on with him, because he was injured and has been through a lot.’”

Ordway added that as Kim tries to explain to the overexcited new mom, Abby gets even more worked up. That’s when Kim tells her that she needs to calm down.

Ordway teased that even though Chance doesn’t have amnesia and can walk, that doesn’t mean he’s okay.

“Seeing him now, she’s overwhelmed with gratitude and love. Still, it isn’t clear if he’s really okay.”
