The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that viewers will see a side of Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) that they haven’t seen before. Kyle will go ‘dark,’ so to speak, as his jealousy will get the best of him as Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) and Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) continue to flaunt their romance all throughout Genoa City. Here’s what you need to know.

Speaking to Soaps in Depth in a new interview, actor Michael Mealor, who plays Kyle Abbott on the hit CBS soap, admits that things are going to get significantly worse for his character before they can get better. He said, “he worries about Theo’s intentions and whether they are genuine or just another way to get under Kyle’s skin. And if so, that’s a pretty low blow. I feel like Kyle may step in, whether it’s his place to or not.!”
But then again, knowing what kind of person Lola is, there’s a very good chance that she might say something about her ex’s interference. After all, it was Kyle who had cheated on her and broke her heart in a million pieces. For Lola, the situation is quite different from Theo. And while no one knows if she can trust him, she’s not about to let someone like Kyle ruin what she and Theo have together.

Plus, at this point, everyone knows that it’s Kyle’s ego that is pushing forward with this and not his love for his soon-to-be ex-wife. If Kyle really truly loved Lola, then he wouldn’t have played the games he did with Summer Newman (Hunter King).

Needless to say, Kyle’s jealousy is most certainly going to take him to a very dark place. Could he even go darker than Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) or Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) once did? Of course, The Young and the Restless fans will have to tune in to find out!

That would be interesting. Kyle and Lola were a great couple. I hope they reunite eventually…after much convincing that it is Lola he truly loves and a lot romancing.
The Y&R writers Kyle and Lola rewrite made no sense. Kyle love Lola always and his love was never divided between her and summer .Its was summer always pinning for Kyle. Lola is Kyle soulmate not summer and if he goes dark it only prove fans like me point. Summer dated Theo and sleep with countless times Kyle never gets Jealous and ever thought about Summer which is suppose to be love his life. I am not doubting Kyle love summer but one makes him truly happy is Lola. Kyle and summer is familiarity because they supposingly grow up together but with Lola complete him .
The fast, sloppy and head spin of a rewrite putting Kyle back with Summer was the first of two stories which had me lose respect for the show and it’s writers. The second is the rehashed romance of Phyllis and Nick! That’s about as believable as Jack digging up dead Catherine for a love interest. These two stories had my remote almost stuck fast forwarding.
Lets us be honest Kyle was dark before he met Lola and if she not by side his side that what happens to him while he is with summer, no like Kyle until he met Lola. The old Kyle would already deal with Theo without a regret. Some fans think Lola behaviour was stupid towards Kyle but it she teaching about true love, respect, selflessness & independence.kyle was selfish , entitle brat and know not thing about true love. Lola life lessons to Kyle are 1. You do not have to buy me an expensive bag to show me you love me, it can be a simple gift even though you are rich. 2. You can buy things and fix yourself even though you are rich. etc
lol lol. Kola rewrite story made no sense to most fans even the fans that like Kyle and summer together & they lose respect for the Y&R writers , Mr Griffith and his writing team. Honestly I stop watching period. Most fans like Kyle and Lola together because their a great couple and story was well written , they could have had drama without the ending of their marriage. Its a real shame. I hope the correct this nonsense of a story plot between kyle and Summer the relationship always fail and is of waste air time and story plot. Kyle needs someone different and That`s Lola.
I absolutely agree with you. I too would have really love to have seen Kyle and Lola stay married and have other dramatic stories. Taking the breakup and return to Summer storyline was old, boring and lazy. It would have been fresh and interesting to have had Kyle and Lola happily married but taking fans on the adventure of a young loved up couple of this generation. Some of the stories the writers are trying to reuse from the 80,90’s don’t work. Young people work hard to buy apartments, travel. No disrespect to our great grandmothers but having women act like they just stepped out of the 50’s is rediculous. Cheating men don’t get a pass in this day and age. It might have been so for Nikki’s generation but people just don’t focus on dead relationships over and over these days. No one’s buying wanting cheaters back who sleep with relatives and have family members sent to prison to save their own skin. The show would be far more interesting if those situations were kept real. The shows writers a spinning too much, it’s like characters all have dementia, not just Dina. Phyllis helping Adam crap on Nick and now she hates Adam for something as silly as suggesting she hook-up with Nick!!! It’s like the writers are not giving us credit to be able to follow a characters past history! I’m not saying there shouldn’t be some silly character go gaga over ex but most of them doing it is boring and plain silly.
Thank you for speaking the truth and applying good reasoning skill what you see is going wrong with Y&R. Y&R is writing not for this generations but for one that belongs in 1980/70`s . The stories are outdated, do makes any sense , do not carry an element of realism to it and there is too much bed hopping and old love interest that never work . Please hire better writers Y&R.
Totally, the show does need an element of realism and definitely more fitting stories for the younger generation. I’m ok with Victor doing his dog and pony show, old folk can be stuck in their ways. Nikki being the door mat wife, letting Victor verbally abuse her is probably how some women of that generation like a man but to have Sharon, Chelsea etc permit Nick to mouth off how he does to women of their age is rediculous and feels like the writers want to portray women to accept this behaviour. The same goes for all the cheating and sleeping around. They should be doing an episode where Nick has given Sharon, Chelsea and Phyllis the ovarian virus. The have Summer come to her senses and go get the preventative injection for women between is it 18 and 45? Now that would be an informative and relevant story to our current time.
