New Young and the Restless Episodes Run Out as Quarantine Continues
Y&R spoilers reveal that it was only a matter of time before the soap ran out of new episodes since filming still hasn’t resumed. This led to executives to come up with a strategy about how to keep viewers interested while the cast and crew are quarantined.
As fans saw today, this was the beginning of CBS airing classic episodes. The cast took the opportunity to do a live video chat to discuss the flashback episode. Michelle Stafford joined Lauralee to talk about their characters, Christine Williams and Phyllis Summer.

As fans saw today, the soap went back in time to 1996. Christine and Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) went to Nevis on their honeymoon. However, there was someone who spotted them. Of course, we are talking about Chris’ long-time nemesis, Phyllis.
During this specific classic episode, Phyllis arranged for a live octopus to be put in Chris and Paul’s hotel bed!

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Bell addressed the hot topic of when will new episodes air again. The actress had this to say about the current soap crisis:
“A lot of you are asking when are we going back to work. We wish we knew. We love making YR. You are the best fans…you’ve stuck by us through everything. This is just one more… We really can’t wait to get a new product to you as soon as possible, so, just stay with us and we’ll stay with you.”

During the live video chat, Lauralee and Michelle both admitted to loving the old episodes. Bell admitted something interesting, though. She confessed that sometimes she watches old scenes and doesn’t remember filming them!
It was also observed by the actors that not only did they look different but sound different too. Bell said that back then, they both used high-pitched voices, and these days, their tone is much lower.

I wasn’t missing it, usually on thursday or friday it was a classic so it wasn’t too bad but now that they have run out of new shows, I will def. be missing it a whole lot more. The classics are alright, but I know for me when its y&r time and I turn it on and see its a classic I won’t likely sit down and watch it, especially if I have other things to do, depending on which classic show it is I might sit and watch it all. Yesterday (Thursday) I watched bit and pieces of it, watching Phyliss put the octopuss in their bed was comical, but so was watching Paul and Christine walking from the beach to their cottage, and seeing her wearing white high heeled shoes with her bikini was a bit too much for me. But I guess they did things like that back in that day. Never want to see that again. I do miss the beautiful locale’s they would go on for holiday/honeymoon story lines tho, I wish they did more of that now.

yes, I want things to return to normal. I miss the old actors. I do not like the new actors at all. You could lose the new Adam, kill him off for good this time. Get rid of Kyle and his cousin (or cut his hair) Rey and his sister and a few more could go.
I don’t understand if they aren’t making any new shows why are they then coming out with all these spoilers? They make no sense, especially the one about Victoria going after Rey, that is just crazy, what reason would she have to do such a thing, she knows Sharon is sick for one, and secondly Sharon was the one who came to Victoria and tried helping her deal with being attacked so what reason would she have for trying to take Rey away from her. I would rather not read any spoiler alerts, or up and coming stories when they aren’t filming at all. Stick to showing the classics, and maybe talking about them, asking fans what they think of them, and how those stories would work in todays world. I’d hold off on the spoilers until its time for the show to come back in production.
Vicky going after Rey didn’t make sense to me either. She should be anti-men for a while!! Unless they want to reunite Sharon & Nick leave her & Rey alone!!! Too bad the other Soaps didn’t do like Days & have 3-6 months worth of taping in case something weird happened!!
