The meeting at Chancellor Park was not planned, according to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), and included her grandson and daughter-in-law.

Diane’s later introductory meeting with Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) winked at future dealings between this potential powerful friendship or possible romantic couple. However, we can not get ahead of where the plot is right now.

Kyle is warming to his mother being involved in his life again. He also likely feels that Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) should know his grandmother.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Good Memories And Warm Feelings

Kyle told Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) that the love he felt from Diane as a child was real. He can not overlook the important role she played in his childhood, even considering the horrible decision she made to fake her murder.

The warmth that Kyle saw Diane project to Harrison, in meeting him for the first time, was palpable. Summer recognized reality but remains fearful that Diane will behave in a way that causes problems for Kyle and or Harrison.

Summer will take cues from her mother, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and be helped by Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). All three protective sources and other Genoa City, Wisconsin residents do not trust Diane, which Kyle understands.

Y&R Spoilers – Ashland Locke Feels Forlorn

Ashland looks like a sad puppy dog. Newman’s facial hair growth adds to the effect, with Ashland being a sympathetic older middle-aged lonely guy.

But Ashland did not lose his wife in a car crash like Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) lost her husband. No, Ashland is alienated from Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) because he lied about having terminal cancer to manipulate her into merging Newman Enterprises with the Locke Communications Group.

Diane is the perfect antidote for Ashland’s blues. They share a similar dastardly history and a common interest in Harrison.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Kyle Abbott Supported By Summer Newman Abbott

Summer was honest with Kyle. She said he has her support, but feels uneasy about Diane.

If Kyle chooses to allow Diane back into his life, she will also be part of Summer and Harrison’s. Conditions will need to be established and maintained. But even with multiple people helping Kyle, Diane’s likely new best friend, Ashland, will significantly complicate necessary calculations on Y&R.
