The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Kyle Tortured Over His Own Mistakes – Lola Wants Out

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) has cried twice in recent days. The waterworks are real, as he realizes that hurting a woman he loved, Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle), was wrong. Well, actually, he damaged two lady’s hearts, with the other, being that of his now realized true soul mate, Summer Newman (Hunter King).

It will take awhile for Kyle to overcome the guilt he’s feeling. But, as Lola told Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), Kyle meant what he said when he professed his love and desire to marry her. Sadly, circumstances drastically changed since that time in the plot.

Kola fans are understandable upset. Many didn’t see this type of premature ending coming, as Kyle and Summer were never so deeply in love that Skyle’s ghost was a threat to what Kyle and Lola had.

It would be acceptable if Skyle was a big deal, or the marriage they had before Kola wasn’t forced, or faux. But it was both.

The times Kola shared were real, as the fans saw for themselves. However, a change in the direction of four characters has obviously been planned for awhile and has now been dropped on the audience to deal with.

This is now the third time the word premature has been used in this feature. That choice was made because fans of the show’s arguably most likable and real couple may feel robbed.

Not only is Kyle and Lola’s marriage over, but they never had children, or shared any grand adventures. Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) is the tagged trouble-maker who Kyle rightly said would wreck things and he has.

The one-on-one conversation Theo had with Summer outside of the Jabot office Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) shares with Kyle revealed the newfound family member’s true feelings. Johnson’s character told Summer that she should be grateful matters were pushed to an early conclusion.

So, Theo purposely goes over to Society and intentionally tells Lola that he learned Skyle is back together. That was underhanded, further revealing that Theo cares for Theo, more than anyone else.

Then, for added effect, he refused Lola’s offer, playing it cool once again. With friends and now cousins like that Kyle needs no enemies.

It will be interesting to see how Theo treats Lola if, as expected, they become a couple. He appears to care for her far more than Summer. But if Lola is handled harshly, Kyle, Rey, and even Summer, per her warning, will have the soon to be former Mrs. Abbott’s back.
