The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is fully supportive of Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) marriage plans. He sees his son in the early prime of his life, which is right.

Jack doesn’t know about Harrison Locke (no actor’s name known for this children’s role), who could be his grandson. Kyle clued his dad into the connection that he and Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) had in New York.

Kyle purposely left out the Harrison intel as a way to protect his father. However, Jack isn’t likely to instantly recognize that plot point.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Kyle Abbott Should Have Come Clean

Kyle is employing the same strategy with his dad that he did with Summer. Mealor’s character was embarrassed by his behavior in New York and didn’t want to burden his fiance with information that could have proven to have been meaningless.

Why tell Summer that he might have a child with Tara if that didn’t prove to be true? Well, Leiner’s character claims that it is. So, Summer was included in the inner circle of people who know the truth.

Not coming clean to Jack will prove hurtful. Yes, this father and son will get past the disappointment and explanation. But Jack is Kyle’s dad and could have been part of the family support system during what remains a trying time.

Y&R Spoilers – Jack Abbott Has Far More Experience

Jack is a daytime staple. Long-time viewers know that he has relationship experience that goes well beyond Kyle’s.

Bergman’s character would certainly have responded to Kyle’s news with the same type of philosophical stance that he’s demonstrated within the last handful of years.

Most importantly, Jack believes in the Abbott’s. Family matters are paramount, with Harrison’s potential tie to it meaning that Jack deserved to know he could be or is a grandfather.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Ashland Locke Has His Say

So the big questions remain open. Is Kyle Harrison’s dad? How will Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) react if he learns that he’s not Harrison’s biological father?

There is no way around the drama in this storyline, which makes it fully compelling. Ashland’s reputation aside, he shouldn’t have been told that he is a father if he’s not. And, Kyle must determine if he has a son, which would also mean that Jack has his first known grandchild.
