The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Why The Rules Are Different

Y&R spoilers reveal that Adam has always struggled to really change because of everyone else’s expectations. Since everyone always expected him to do terrible things, it’s been difficult for him to truly change. The exception to that is Victor, who always believed he could be a better man and make better choices. In the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, co-executive producer, and head writer Josh Griffith explains the stand-alone episode.

The reason why the episode features this surreal game of chess is that it represents the battle between Victor and Adam. As for the rules suddenly being different, it’s due to Adam being at a major crossroads.

Y&R Spoilers – Characters As Chess Pieces

There will be several characters who will be viewed as chess pieces. Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will be the knight because he is a police officer. However, who will represent the queen? Will that role go to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) or Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case)? Plus, all of them will be telling Adam which move to make, but who will be the right people for Adam to listen to?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers- Nick Newman’s Influence

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will be a huge influence in the chess game, as well as Adam’s life. As we speculated last week, the two will never be best friends, however, their relationship will be much improved. Griffith explains that if Adam can get Nick’s respect, that could change everything for the troubled character. It could really turn Adam into a man who is more careful about his choices and tries to be a better man.

Y&R Spoilers – Victoria Newman’s Greed

As for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), her role in the stand-alone episode will showcase her power. Not only that, but her never having enough of it and craving more. Griffith teased that the tables could turn as Victoria turns into the new Adam.

As for the outcome of Adam’s crossroads, Griffith teases, “He will come out of it determined to change his life, and if he’s successful, how long will it last?”
