The Young and the Restless spoilers and insights document that in Genoa City Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) has been put through the wringer far too many times. He’s had enough of Summer Newman (Hunter King) and appears to be done with her.
How much does this man have to do for the woman he loves? He divorced Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) and rededicated himself to Summer in the recent past. But that apparently wasn’t enough to soothe Summer’s deep insecurities.
A gracious presentation was prepared at the Grand Phoenix hotel. But Summer chose to ignore Kyle’s thoughtful actions and instead focus on one name he referenced (Lola).

Love isn’t math. So, there are no orderly calculations that will allow either Kyle, (Michael Mealor) or Summer (Hunter King) to assess each other as two robots would.
Instead, Summer’s feelings are recognized as real. The question is what does she really want?
Kyle has been demonstrating that he’s willing to completely change his life in order to be with Summer (Hunter King) in a real relationship, as opposed to the fake marriage they had in the recent past. That point could be used to claim that Kyle is the half of Skyle that needs to be soothed. But it’s fair to ask that both people be equally assured of the future, rather than one.
Kola Is Part Of The Past
It really seems that Kyle is not in love with Lola Rosales, which is her restored name after he divorced her. Kola did exist and was genuine, but that coupling proved to be mostly about Lola’s feelings for Kyle and his eventual realization that Summer was the woman he wanted to be with and then was.
In recent months Summer sent every possible signal that caused Kyle to naturally believe they were heading toward marriage, children, and long family life together. Then, she bailed on the elopement, returned to Genoa City, Wisconsin, and spied on Kyle with a preconceived conclusion in mind.
Yes, Kyle knows Lola. He admits to caring for her as well. But she isn’t a love interest, with Summer’s differing opinion not changing that reality.
Skyle Is An Idea Rather Than Reality?
There’s no denying that Kyle and Summer share a real history. They have sincerely loved each other for many years. But it appears as though both halves of Skyle are coming to realize that history doesn’t secure today or tomorrow.
Did Kyle and Summer once love each other deeply? Yes. But whatever the current level of each person’s feelings they aren’t ready to stand at an altar. Sadly, they might not even agree on maintaining a romantic relationship.

Here we go again with the same old stories. Kyle was supposed to be done with Summer after her fiasco with Billy. Many fans like myself thought finally, and really got onboard with Kyle finally growing up and finding true love in what seemed like a sensible relationship with a decent girl who doesn't flaunt her list for his uncle in his face. Only to have a quick, shoddy, unbelievable story of Summer and Kyle are so on the same wavelength, and have never stopped loving eachother. Not many fans found that remotely believable and it damaged Summer and Kyle's characters to the point some fans stopped watching. There are other directions to take characters stories in without keeping the repeating the same thing over and over. This needs to be the end of Kyle and Summer for years now to get away from this boring scenario.

The articles is never accurate . There are many points I disagree 1. There was no story running on Y&R to show Kyle has not gotten over summer when he was married to Lola but all the audience saw was Summer dreaming , praying and wishing to be with Kyle . kyle had that time main his love for Lola. 2. Lola is no random girl he hook up with ,kyle was deeply in love with her, that is why he get summer to donate a liver to her and then he plan a perfect weeding for her.The lengths Kyle went to save Lola life and all he did for her cannot dismissed . Yes ,Summer and Kyle has history but Kola love story change her from being the main love interest and only person in his heart. kyle love Lola has much as summer. The kola rewrite story and Skyle history do not matter of much you writers in articles or Y&R writers try to change facts in real story . 3 No man does all Kyle did for Lola and she not real important as much as girl who he get to give Liver. I fed up stating it . Lola is as important to Kyle has summer. 4. Yes is merry -go round but all is Y&R writers fault . They should never try to rewrite Kola love story with lie that most of audience never saw with kyle . Kyle and Lola should have stay together until the writers had reasonable acceptable story that please both fans base. Kola rewrite story contains lots of errors by the writers because they wanted a swap couple but story was badly writing . it basically never made sense when it is analyze .
Thank you . I agree with you 100% . The Y&R writers damage Kyle character development for reunion with summer. When Kyle and summer left most fans were not that angry because the story made sense but the re write was completely lies and angry the fans base to the point many people stop watching include myself. The whole Kola rewrite story made no sense. Most fan hated Kyle when got to GC but it is when the writers paired him with Lola then most fans love him. Kyle character is now getting hate from both sides. I think none of fans abase actual believe Kyle knows what or who he loves or believe he truly love anyone because the writers throw his character under a bus, ran it over with car and throw it through the window to be with summer which ridiculous , no one expectation was for Kola to be forever but the break was wrong and did not make sense. Better writers please. Now they writers have Kyle not accepting the truth ,he love both women ,that is story I see running now. Yes ,some may say he love only summer but his attitude is saying he care and still love Lola. The audience wants to see a end which meaning to Kyle accepting the true everyone see on scree n ,he love both Lola & Summer.Kyle could then move on from both or choose one. I like the version Of kyle with Lola,so I prefer kola.
