The Young And The Restless Spoilers – An Urgent Family Matter

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) summons Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to Genoa City on an urgent family matter, Kyle bringing little Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) along. Summer Newman Abbott (soon Allison Lanier) cannot get away from work at Marchetti, so Kyle and Harrison come alone. Kyle isn’t quite sure what he is walking into, especially when he and the tot arrive at the Abbott house, and no one is home.

Kyle, understandably, is very apprehensive and sends Harrison to the kitchen for cookies but Jack soon arrives, and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) with him. After a warm father-son hug, Phyllis excuses herself so Jack can get down to the business at hand.

Y & R Spoilers – Jack Abbott Tries To Break It To His Son Easy

Jack knows that the news that Kyle’s mother has been alive after twenty-plus years of presumed death will be a shock! Jack tries to break the astounding news to Kyle easily, knowing that it will be difficult for him to process.  Even worse, in all that time that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) played dead, she never reached out to her son even one time! Jack worries that will be even more difficult for Kyle to deal with than learning that she’s still alive! Kyle, nervous over his father’s hemming and hawing asks him to get to the point – what is it that’s happening?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – First Jack Abbott Talks About Allie Nguyen

Jack decides to start on a more pleasant note since Kyle is already aware that his older brother Keemo Volien Abbott (Philip Moon) has died. Jack tells him about Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) and Kyle is pleasantly surprised to hear about his newly discovered niece. Kyle is excited to meet Allie, and he assumes this is the big news although Jack could have told him that by phone.

Jack then tries to ease into the subject of Diane’s survival by talking about the text messages that led him to Keemo’s house, and Allie. But then Jack relates the text messages to Kyle, saying that they also lead back to him, which has him totally confused!

Understandably, the thoroughly confused Kyle asks Jack to explain why all the strange texts would lead back to him as well as Allie! Jack still procrastinates a bit, trying to find the right words, which elicits a question from Kyle about why he’s so vague! Jack knows this news will hit Kyle like a bolt from the blue just like it did him but finally decides to just say it! Kyle, as expected is thunderstruck and blindsided when Jack tells him his mother is alive and bought Keemo’s house! Jack explains that Diane was going by the name Taylor Jensen and apparently living in Los Angeles for a long time.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Kyle Abbott Wants No Part Of Diane Jenkins

Jack of course explains that even though his mother went to enormous lengths including buying Keemo’s house to re-establish contact, the ball’s in Kyle’s court. Jack tells Kyle he told her he would tell him of her survival but for her to steer clear and let Kyle decide! He offers him Diane’s contact information at that point but it is utterly devastating for Kyle to find out she’s even alive!

Kyle spent many years learning to deal with her death and working on himself to rid himself of the effects. He is so shocked he doesn’t even know if he wants to see her or not, to him, opening a door to her would be chaos!
