The Emmy Award-winning actress who played Christine ‘Cricket’ Blair on The Young and the Restless will star in the first two V.C. Andrew’s Landry family movies on Lifetime.

An Emmy award-winning actress on the CBS soap The Young and the Restless, Lauralee Bell is heading over to Lifetime to star in the first two movies in the V.C. Andrew’s Landry family film series.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers – Lauralee Bell in Ruby and Pearl in the Mist

Bell will star in the first two films in the V.C. Andrew’s Landry family movie series, Ruby and Pearl in the Mist. She will be co-starring with existing stars, Rachelle and Karina Banno. In the movies, Lauralee will play the role of Daphne Dumas, the wife of Ruby’s estranged father. Her character is not thrilled when Ruby appears and disrupts her perfect life.

This isn’t the first time Bell has worked with the producer, Reel One Entertainment, as she previously starred in the lead role in Nightmare Tenant (2019), which she also exec produced, and in the 2018 film Mistress Hunter. Lauralee also featured in Lifetime’s movie Past Sins.

In an interview she said after she read the scripts for the Lifetime films, she was hooked, saying the films will be a wonderful introduction for anyone who hasn’t already read the V.C. Andrews books. Bell said she is looking forward to playing such a “manipulative character.”

Reel One Entertainment is producing the V.C. Andrews’ Landry Family movie series, with Dan Angel, Tom Berry, Ric Nash, and Jane Startz executive producing. The films’ screenwriters are Gregory Small and Richard Blaney.

Lauralee Bell first starred on her parents’ soap, The Young and the Restless as Christine “Cricket” Blair on a bit role basis in 1983 and received a contract role in 1986. In January 2005, Lauralee asked to be released from the contract and only now reprises her role on a recurring basis.

Bell won her Emmy award for digital series mI promise and has previously created, directed and produced a web series, Just Off Rodeo and Family Dinner.

Both Ruby and Pearl in the Mist should be worthwhile movies to watch on Lifetime in the future.
