Lily might expect a happy homecoming with a romantic reunion, but instead arrive home to a horrific shock!

Lily has been away making sure her daughter Mattie Ashby (Lexie Stevenson) has been okay in a crisis-filled time, and Daniel understood her daughter had to come first. But that didn’t mean that he’s been staying completely faithful the whole time she’s been away.

His ex, Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) has moved back to Genoa City for good along with his daughter Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant). And all the time Lily’s been away, Daniel and Heather have been growing closer and closer, much to the delight of Lucy!

 Y & R Spoilers – Messy Mixed Signals

There have been plenty of messy mixed signals between Daniel and Heather, including snuggling on the couch while they and Lily watched TV. Lily got a photo of her parents having fallen asleep inadvertently, which she of course found cute.

Even though that time it was innocent, the next time it might not be-and what if that is the sight greeting Lily when she comes home? Daniel had built a solid relationship with her before she left, but it seems he’s backtracking now and trying to pretend they weren’t all that serious.

Perhaps Daniel was trying to justify his returning feelings for Heather on some level, and they’ll only get stronger as time goes on, or perhaps he never really moved on.

Daniel could have been stuffing his feelings, and now that Heather seems to be more cooperative and reciprocating, Lily could come in with her keys and find a shocking scene.

Daniel already kissed Heather back on New Year’s Eve but they could get much more involved down the road, only to be discovered in a tight clinch or worse by Lily.

Lily would be thrown for a horrifying loop and he’d better hope he’s okay with losing her forever if that’s what happens. Because if it does, she’ll be well within her rights to kick him to the curb and never take him back again!
