The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Major Casting Change, New Harrison Locke Debuts

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that the role of Harrison Locke has been recast with Redding Munsell. Kellen Enriquez debuted in the role in 2021.
Harrison is the biological son of Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner). Munsell will be first seen in the role on April 12.
Tara went to prison for embezzlement years ago and since then Kyle and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) have raised him. But that all ended with the couple’s breakup. Here’s what the recast means for the character and storylines going forward.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Will Tara Locke Come Back
Harrison came to Genoa City, Wisconsin with his mother, Tara Locke, and her then-husband, Ashland Locke.
It was later revealed that Kyle and Tara had had a fling back in the day, and eventually it was determined that Kyle is Harrison’s dad, not Ashland.
Ashland and Kyle shared custody of Harrison until the former died in 2022. When Summer and Kyle remarried she helped to raise the boy. After their divorce Harrison has been without a mother figure and the show seems keen to change that.
Does the recast mean that Tara is returning to the canvas? There has been no mention of Tara, but there has been mention of Harrison needing a mother figure. More on that later.
Y&R spoilers – Will Harrison Locke Be SORAS’d Again?
Munsell is older than Enriquez but we wouldn’t say that this is a major SORAS job. But that doesn’t mean that Harrison won’t be recast with an older act down the road.
Oftentimes soaps do a gradual aging of a young character so as not to jolt the canvas too much.
We’re not saying that this is in play with Harrison’s recast, but a pattern of gradual aging of characters is not uncommon.
For now, an older Harrison will likely interact more with the adults, which could also mean he could cause more problems for them!

Munsell is set to star in Hurricanna along with former soap stars A Martinez (ex-Cruz, Santa Barbara) and Michael Nouri (ex-Caleb, All My Children).

I don’t like the way Y&R is going with Summer and with Kyle storyline. They have made Summer out to be IMO to be mean, vindictive, and a troublemaker. Why did they let her go on saying like she is Harrison’s mother? She can’t make all decisions when she is Not the biological mother of Harrison. She is constantly sprewing with her ungodly hatred that She, not Claire, could or is going to be ruining Harrison. She just can’t be happy, and I believe she is jealous of Kyle and possibly maybe a relationship with Claire, which I hope it does happen because they make a good couple. Why can’t they have Kyle toughen up and not be so wussy and tell Summer that she is not the biological mother and not make decisions for Harrison. She raised Harrison with Kyle, but in the long run, it should be Kyle who makes the decisions about His biological son. This is what gets me bad mad about the story writers. They just let Summer spread all kinds of lies to everyone when they don’t really know what is going on. SHE not Kyle could ruin Harrison.
Oh, I forgot to say and probably most people forgot that Harrison’s biological mother, Tara Locke, is alive and well in jail for embezzlement. Could she come back and cause trouble? Could it be possible that Kyle is not the biological father of Harrison? Oh, what a mess this be! We just have to wait and see.
