The Young and The Restless spoilers tease that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) relationship is starting to grow strained as Tessa achieves major success on the road as her ex-husband Tanner Watts’ (Chase Coleman) opening act, and it will start to show more and more on upcoming episodes of The Young and The Restless!

Y&R Spoilers: Mariah Copeland Gave Tessa Porter Her Blessing To Pursue Her Big Break

Mariah, as not only Tessa’s girlfriend but also her manager, gave Tessa her blessing to go on the road with Tanner, a big name artist to pursue her big break, but it couldn’t have come at a worse time personally for Mariah! There was a little friction right at first when Mariah found out Tessa had been married to Tanner for a short time and never told Mariah, but they got through it. Mariah is actually holding back a lot more from Tessa than Tessa held back from Mariah, but she doesn’t want Tessa to lose her chance at fame by coming home off the road to support her. Tessa has come home and surprised her for at least one short visit and they talk regularly on the phone.

Mariah Copeland’s Mother Has Been Diagnosed With Breast Cancer

Viewers of The Young and The Restless of course know that Sharon Newman, (Sharon Case) has been diagnosed with breast cancer, and Mariah has spent a lot of time supporting her and her teenage sister Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind). Viewers will recall a sweet scene recently from the night before Sharon had her first chemo treatment (the same night Cassie Newman, also played by Camryn Grimes, visited her in a dream) and Mariah and Faith were sleeping either side of Sharon, with ghost Cassie observing.

Mariah needs support from her partner, but Tessa’s on the road! Mariah, like her mother Sharon, is very good at supporting everyone else, but not very good at accepting support from anyone else or letting anyone else know that she needs the support! Mariah hasn’t said anything about Sharon to Tessa, but then Sharon didn’t want a lot of people knowing, so there is that.

Also, in a recent episode of The Young and The Restless, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) met with Mariah and gave her the unexpected news that he was shutting down Power Communications, meaning Mariah was losing her job! He couldn’t find anywhere else to put her either so she is unemployed! Again, she hasn’t reached out to Tessa about this matter or her family because she doesn’t want them worrying about her. Recently, Mariah has tried calling Tessa a couple of times, once with Tanner answering and telling Mariah that Tessa was busy in the middle of a sound check, and then another time she got Tanner answering and saying he would give her a message. Mariah doesn’t want to think that maybe Tessa is rebonding with Tanner and that she will lose her partner too, but the longer she is gone and the longer the two are not in proper communication, the more the strain on their relationship could increase, with the strain potentially breaking the two of them up! It is not a good thing for couples not to tell each other important things, especially if one is gone with their work. Communication is key, and Mariah and Tessa’s communications are becoming less and less and fewer and farther between!
